Donald Trump's microphone could be turned off in the next debate if he keeps interrupting or he might get a time penalty under Debate commission plans after 'dumpster fire' clash

Donald Trump may have his microphone switched off or even be issued a time penalty if he keeps interrupting Joe Biden when the pair meet again for the second presidential debate next month.

The potential changes could be introduced as part of the Commission on Presidential Debates' (CPD) pledge to make the next showdown more 'orderly', after Tuesday's chaotic 90 minute debate was branded a 'dumpster fire' and a 'national embarrassment.'

Critics have demanded changes to the format, with some saying it was the worst presidential debate in history. Moderator Chris Wallace was faulted for not being able to control the unruly president, who would not stop talking.

I soooo agree. They want Trump to quit thus Biden doesn’t have to take the stage and deal with the debates at all.

If they do this, then Trump should not debate. He is the duly elected representative of the people, and he should not be silenced. Share this post and BOYCOTT THE DEBATES! Make the networks lose big money if they do this! BOYCOTT THE DEBATES!!

It was truly terrible the things Biden said...he does have a temper but he’s using word/tactics to keep from letting it go too far...for him. But I gotta say I hope Trump lets Biden get to that point...he wasn’t far from it last debate.

I don’t think Chris Cristy is doing any good for Trump as his coach....he’s not showing him how to nudge Biden over the rail or tell when he’s right on the edge.

I suggest that they use a chess clock.

For each fifteen minute segment each debater gets 450 seconds.

As each debater finishes he or she hits the switch which turns off their clock and turns on their opponent’s clock.

When a debater runs out of time his or her microphone is cut off for the remainder of the segment.

When both debaters have run out of time, the segment is over.

This will force each debater to come up with brief answers.

The debate was not unlike arguing in The House of Lords in Great Britain, which many people on the left laud as real heat that should be performed in America.

Really, this whole thing is stupid and Joementia is unable to argue against a worthy opponent, which demonstrates his lack of skill and ability.

Angela Merkel will crush him in any discussion and Putin will roll his lazy One World thinking ass.

Xi will be all to happy with a spirit of accommodation that benefits China while continuing to disadvantage the United States and the world.

The Arab states will fall back into their status quo of working mightily to undermine and destroy the nation and people of Israel

The Harris/Biden campaign cannot be allowed to prevail and their collectivist plans destroy communities nor can their ideas of tribalism for segments of society, which undermine the individual right.

Joe Biden and Chris Wallace broke the rules first setting precedent, in my mind, for how battle is performed.

You want decorum of some sort, I agree to your rules, because you aren’t going to win on ideas anyway.

You decide to break with rules and I’m going with your idea and don’t pretend you’re a victim when I’m done either, because I’ll just keep rolling on you under your new rules of engagement

Hint: I’m from a large family and if you agree to “Robert’s Rules of Order” I’m fine with that.

You step out of that boundary and then I’m going to determine we are no longer engaged in the free exchange of ideas but in a street fight and I’ll go there too...

"Unruly president"? Is the Daily Mail even a newspaper or a slop bucket? They go to the pub in London, get drunk then spew out garbage for their equally stupid editors to print in tihs poor excuse of a newspaper?

if you add the excess interruptions of Trump by Wallace - 76 times vs 15 time he interrupted Biden - to the interruptions of Trump by Biden - you get farm more interruptions of Trump.

so?

the whole thing is set up. FakeNewsMSM is not reporting Biden disavows Green New Deal; Biden refuses to answer vital questions etc.

This is how a real newspaper writes about the debate. From the Illinois Review:

THE MODERATOR

Chris Wallace, of the cable network Fox News, was a surprisingly weak and biased moderator. When a debate has multiple moderators asking the questions, they can get away with a certain amount of bias, because they can at least pretend that with Republican and Democrat hosts, the bias evens itself out (whether that’s true or not, most of the time, is up for debate).

With a single moderator, however, we need a conscious effort to be truly independent. This may be difficult with two forceful personalities like these, but it is still imperative.

Chris Wallace failed at this, if indeed he ever tried. His bias in favor of Mr. Biden was clear in most of the questions, only appearing to possibly be on President Trump’s side in one question late in the debate. Most of the time, his whole hand was on the scale - maybe his foot too – as he reprimanded the President for breaking the rules, read off questions biased toward the left’s position, and failed to call out even the most blatant lies from Joe Biden’s corner.

For example, the President talked about the huge evidence of ongoing and planned fraud in the “mail-in” ballot debate, both Biden and Wallace claimed there was no such evidence. Huge arrests in just the past 48 hours, in Texas, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, among others, provided plenty of fresh proof of the potential for mail-in ballot fraud, but Wallace – who lives in a newsroom, after all – acted as though he knew no such thing. If this were Watergate, it would be called a coverup. How a moderator could deny such huge stories, so fresh and well-known, to help one side’s case, is simply unforgivable.

I guess they will have to protect Joe Biden like a feeble old man if they want him to become the most powerful man on Earth.

Well that’s good to know. I thought they might put a shock collar on both of the participants in the debate. That’s the only thing that might stop President Trump.

For all you people who think President Trump was over the top and too rough, how would you treat the fact that Joe Biden lies so much. Would you just let the lies stand until you could rebut it two or three minutes later after it has set in the viewers mind? What would your action be? Joe is a serial liar. That is why he is constantly calling President Trump a liar, but without specifics.

Find a moderator who isn’t in the tank for Biden and we’ll talk.

Until then, if that microphone gets cut, DJT should walk off the stage at that instant, sue the living hell out of everyone involved, and make criminal referrals for election interference.

“Dumpster fire”?....No, you can’t oversimplify it for me. It was what it was, and if it takes only so many more words to accurately describe, then that’s exactly what it needs to be.

Questions for Trump will also be asked requiring a simple yes or no answer, such as “ will you continue to be a white supremacist if you are elected to a second term?”
