Joe Biden will continue to debate President Trump, his campaign said late Tuesday, even as political operatives blasted what they called a "train wreck" between the pair in their first debate.
"I don’t know how many different ways we can say it. Yes, we are going to do the debates," Biden deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said in a post-debate call with reporters.
"I would imagine there will be some additional conversations [with the Commission on Presidential Debates]. But yeah, we are committing to attending the debates," she said.
Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), the Democratic vice presidential nominee, also indicated during a CNN interview on Tuesday night that Biden planned to keep debating Trump.
Trump and Biden are scheduled for two more debates, on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22.
“Joe Biden’s never going to refuse to talk to the American people,” Harris said when asked if Biden should continue participating in the debates.
Democrats widely objected to the frequent interruptions and barbs lobbied against Biden in Tuesday night's debate with little interference from moderator Chris Wallace.

The Biden campaign probably sees tonight as a huge win. After a week of God knows what type of prep, their candidate stood up, didn’t start gumming his lips for minutes at a time, didn’t get too drawn in to Trump’s jibes, and spoke (for the most part) in complete and mostly coherent sentences for the entire debate. If they can find a reason to call off subsequent debates, they proved all they feel they needed to prove tonight. If not, they can feel like they have a winning strategy, whatever it involves (blackout curtains, a week of no campaign events, B12 shots, etc...). They’re just pushing to get him over the line and they are desperate.

Internally this was a “win” that their candidate didn’t drool all over himself and pooped his pants.
But externally, this was a giant disaster. Biden looked lost, his expression was either deer in head lights or creepy guy you keep your kids away from.
This wasn’t a good look for him
Also he was lost so bad on stage that he moderator had to jump in and debate Trump
Trump was on his game, sure he could have done better here or there, but he didn’t have to. Nobody remembers the first debate anyways, Trump put enough jibes into him to show us Biden’s grumpy old mean side. Trump got under his skin in a couple confrontations, and at one point I thought Biden was going to insane and throw something at him or even run over and punch Trump.
This was not Biden’s best night, it wasn’t even a good night, it was a night of low expectations that he didn’t poop himself.

Ok, so we learned tonight that Joe Biden still has some working brain cells. But he sure didn’t make his case for being President.
I bet right now Chris Wallace would get more Rat votes than Biden.
No drug test or earpiece test so sure; he’ll keep debating.
If the Rats thought Slow Joe won tonight, and that the polls showing him with 10 point leads are accurate, they’d just run out the clock and cancel the rest of the debates.
The fact that they will continue shows their desperation.
