Sidney Powell, lawyer for former National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Michael Flynn, revealed Tuesday during a final sentencing hearing that she personally asked President Trump not to pardon Flynn.
Powell did not say why she made that request, but it suggests she preferred the court to dismiss Flynns case, rather than have the president intervene with a pardon.
The Associated Press reported her request presumably reflected a defense team desire to have Flynns case dropped through the court system and have a judge concur with the Justice Departments assertion that the prosecution may be abandoned.

She wants a victory, not a draw.
The corrupt judge Emmet Sullivan needs to be exposed and humiliated.
I listened to the hearing today and I witnessed the work of a Banana Republic court in action. Judge Sullivan was acting true to form, and Judge Gleeson was a disgrace to the Federal Judiciary, the Bar, and everything that we hold precious in the Land of the Free. He did everything buy declare himself to be the new prosecutor, and both he and Judge Sullivan consider him to be just that.
If Flynn had been pardoned, it would have been impossible to appoint him to clean up the intelligence agencies. Once he finally gets declared innocent, Trump can appoint him and Flynn will go in as the FBI’s and CIA’s worst nightmare.
She could be planning a trip to the Supreme Court where Sullivan could get a real beating.
And exposed nationally for what he is.
It’s a good thing that she did, then
I hope whatever it is that Sullivan fears is exposed.
It must be something horrendous held over his head to force him to go against Ms. Powell and the DOJ combined.
Logic and reason would tell anyone that going head to head with Powell is a really bad position to take, so obviously Sullivan is being forced by some dark swamp monster.
She wants full exoneration. Then shell sue the ever loving crap out of the individuals involved
If President Trump pardons Lt.Gen Flynn he loses all ability to sue for restitution. He has been financially ruined because of this Witchhunt.
Sydney knows that the longer that Judge Sullivan drags out the dismissal of the charges against General Flynn, the more discovery that comes out like the latest FBI text messages.
If he is pardoned he cannot serve in government office. evidently
Sidney Powell is as sharp as a tack, but she was hoodwinked by Sullivan in the Stevens case. Sullivan knew the government was doing all kinds of illegal stuff. After Stevens was convicted Sullivan became irate and said he would have an investigation of government wrongdoing. The investigation tackled low level people, one committed suicide. The big shots got off scottfree.
All I want to know is if Trump will pardon the Tiger King!!!
When the case is finally dismissed, Flynn will start suing and will rake in millions. That’s why Sullivan and his bosses are trying to drag it out. Even the FBI people were buying liability insurance. A pardon would preclude any suits against the corrupt ones.
I sure hope so.
Who seems to richly deserve it. I thought far better of him originally.
I would go after Sullivan for professional misconduct and have him disbarred or at least thrown out of the federal court system.
Charge him with “malfeasance of office”, “judicial misconduct”, “abuse of authority”, and violating the canons of ethics for federal judges as well as licensed attorneys.
Take the leftist bastard down and out, as well as his legal pimp shadow.
From your mouth to Trump’s ear!
I listened to the audio today. Gleason was as partisan as James Carville. Sullivan appeared to be processing all info equally, but then fell back into a rant about Flynn’s guilty pleas. Sidney Powell sounded more like she was doing 2 minutes on Fox News and not a federal court.
