My Aunt did that....she would tell her daughter (my cousin) it was time for her to go home, now....to please take her home. She'd end up getting pretty antsy/frustrated.
One day, my cousin put her in the car and said, Okay, Mom...let's go....show me where your house is. They drove around for about 20 mins, before my Aunt finally relented and said, okay, let's just go back to your house (which was HER house).

My husband had a wreck on the Interstate about 20 years ago. He was ejected through the window of his truck. He was in the trauma unit for two weeks with a closed head frontal lobe injury and in a rehab nursing home for three months learning to walk, feed himself, etc. Even after all these years he still sundowns.
