LIVE at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 29: President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden take part in the first presidential debate between the two candidates. The Cleveland, Ohio event is moderated by “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace.

Well he probably goes on auto pilot and does talking points. Old dude has been in politics for half a century and has done a million debates.
Biden was off but not that bad during the dem primaries. You could see he wasn't on fire and very lucid but he didn't go catatonic or anything like some here expected he'd do tonight.

Laura Ingraham says the post-debate snap polls are only giving a slight win to Biden. They gave a much bigger margin to Hillary (who LOST) in 2016.

Wallace didn't ask Hillary Clinton if she would accept the results of the election, either. He later said that he "forgot" and that they were running out of time.

However, the damage was done and the MSM and the Democrats got a talking point that they are still using today.

Oreilly on RSBN and Fox are just showing the highlights, which ignore Trump’s incessant interrupting. If he only didn’t do that he’d have won this by a massive amount. I hope he learns to cut it down by 50% or so.

Passions running high on the thread tonight. BTW Trump is also the first President I put signs up for. I just thinks it was a hard debate for Trump to walk into as it's well known Wallace doesn't like him. Further the debates are outdated. They need to stop with the media pundits hosting them and get some moderators who represent both sides (outsiders).who know how to control heated debates...and can keep them on track. I think you got it that all Joe had to do was stay as quiet as possible....two minute reposes were not hard for him to focus on....and in the 'open' discussions all Biden had to do was just let Wallace and Trump go at it, as they did. It wasn't a 'fair' debate going in. I can't see how Trump could do much better than he did for it really was two against one from the get go.

There is a reason why the media and the leftists on different forums and platforms are not happy with Biden’s performance even if they couch it by calling POTUS too aggressive or a bully.
They wanted to see a man on fire and energetic with passion.
He was just came across as a crumpy old man who needs to retire. Not senile as some thought he’d come across, but just old and not offering anything fresh. No charisma like Obama had with the twenty and thirty somethings.
