Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal have been accused of defending the Louisville police officers who killed Breonna Taylor and blaming the black EMT's boyfriend for opening fire first.
Barkley and O'Neal were discussing Taylor's death and the decision not to indict any officers in her killing during the TNT pregame show ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets game on Thursday.
Barkley argued that Taylor's death couldn't be compared to the police killing of black man George Floyd because Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker first fired a shot at officers when they entered her apartment with a 'no knock' warrant.
'I don't think this one was like George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery and things like that,' Barkley said.
'I feel sad that this young lady lost her life. I think the no-knock warrant is something we need to get rid of across the board. But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend shot at the cops and shot a cop.'
O'Neal agreed and argued the officers involved were simply 'doing their job' on a warrant signed by a judge.
He also said that he believed the system needed to change.
'You have to get a warrant signed and some states do allow no-knock warrants. Everyone was asking for murder charges,' he said. 'When you talk about murder, you have to show intent. A homicide occurred and we're sorry a homicide occurred.
'When you have a warrant signed by the judge, you are doing your job, and I would imagine that you would fire back.'
O'Neal last year became a deputy in the auxiliary department of Florida's Broward County Sheriff's Office but is not clear what his duties entail. He has previously been sworn in as reserve police officers at departments in California, Florida and Arizona and...

This was a cluster from beginning to end.
Say his name.
Kenneth Walker!
Kudo’s to Chuck and Shaq for just laying the obvious truth out there. She made a very bad choice in boyfriends and unfortunately paid a even more unfortunate price for it.
But they knocked and announced themselves ! Barkley must not have got the word on this......or he's ignoring it....
She wasn’t an EMT. She was fired in 2017...probably for using the ambulance to make drug and cash drops for her dealer boyfriend.
The left wants to end self defense, even for police officers.
Right-She’s like a LOT of women who make ruinous life-decisions.
It never occurs to them that the flaws and failings of their ‘spouse’ will eventually cost them as well.
I watched a doc. about a young mother with an infant daughter at home. The mom was selling some of her prescription meds to some very ugly and dangerous types.
In one of her drug deals, IN HER OWN HOME, the buyers (one was the mom’s ‘boyfriend’) shot the place up, including the child who was asleep asleep in the same room. After many surgeries the child survived but the mother was killed.
Throughout the whole doc, the parents of the young mother knew but never mentioned that their daughter was dealing drugs. Tearfully, they kept saying, ‘Who could do such a thing to our daughter and her child?’
Police described it all in the end... and any idiot could have guessed that, anyway.
That young woman had absolutely NO regard for her daughter and NO common sense in her life choices.

Itll be great, I just dont see what youre so worried about.
Something that isn’t mentioned enough is that the vast majority (~90%) of murder victims have either felony arrests or convictions. What this means is that if you aren’t a felon and you don’t hang out with felons, your chance of being murdered go way down.
They both have right-leaning commercial interests and branding. Thank God.
Taylor’s boyfriend shot a cop and then used her as a human shield. Why was he not charged?
So, the guy shoots at cops and is not charged. One cop is charged for a crime for defending himself.
Is there justice?
Ms. taylor was in the game. She was the banker for someone’s drug house. This stuff happens- and if she had been shot by another dealer no one would know, or be protesting.
you are correct.
People always say “it happened to them” when they put themselves in the middle of a shitstorm.
Bad life choices are a real thing, and have consequences.
