The vaccines have gone through jose 3 testing like every other medical regiment. What’s magic about five years? Same process. Same numbers. But you want to wait five years. Not only is your argument irrational using your philosophy we would have never pioneered on the space program made improvements in medicine or economics and the American spirit if we can do this would not be alive

I guess you just want us to be euroweenies. Well no thank you. Thank God for a president celebrating and using American ingenuity and can do attitude to get things done

Yes, what the press is trying to not mention, is that the fatality rate has shrunk so much that this virus is not as harmful as the flu, or driving in a car, or working out. The reality is that we did a bad job of treating the virus initially. And now we know what we are doing. Vitamin D, Zinc, antivirals all knock the severity down by a third or higher. The combination is very powerful. Also, forced oxygen instead of ventilators, helps survival rates in severe cases.

Even without a vaccination, we know what we are doing now. And if you want to help your chances do these simple things. Lose weight, take vitamin D and a multi-vitamin with zinc. Your chances of survival go way up especially if you are older.

That is only true if the side effects of the vaccine are not worse than the disease itself. There will not be enough long term testing for anything vaccine that comes out in the next few years. Right now, the best course of treatment seems to be one of the growing lists of drugs that have been on the market for decades and the side effects are know.

government would never put anything in a vaccine that would hurt us?

As they call for population control, as they spy on everyone, as they tout the need to control the dumb masses.

About the same as a bad influenza year. So like my brethren in free republic land have said
It’s just the flu, bro

Its no longer even a bad flu. While it may be bad among the elderly, the population as a whole does better with this virus than the flu.

We have about 30K population in our county. We got about 400 cases this year. Four critical and, two of those died. One death was an 87 year old man with many comorbidities. The other three were all very, very heavy women over 50 who had many health issues. One of them died.

The best strategy against this virus is not to avoid the virus. The best strategy is to get the virus while in good health. At any age, lose weight, take vitamin D and a multivitamin with zinc. You are likely to have few to zero symptoms and then you will be immune for long while. Even if you get it again, it will likely be a mild case.

You are looking at data that includes mostly cases from before June. If you look at the more recent data, you find that the flu is worse than the virus. Before June the cases were mostly those who were very sick. And we often treated them wrong. Now we are finding the asymptomatic people who have always been walking among us. And we know how to handle those who become ill.

So even if you're over 70 you have an excellent chance of surviving. Unless,of course, you're a resident of one of Andrew Cuomo’s nursing homes.

It should be noted that these numbers exclude people over 80 years old. From the planning site:

"The estimates for persons ≥70 years old presented here do not include persons ≥80 years old". CDC COVID-19 Pandemic Planning Scenarios

Last I saw, survival rates for persons over 80 years is something like 82%. I wish they'd publish the overall rate again. It's useful for looking at the entire population as a whole. Nice to have the breakdown, but having both is good.

Without a vaccine, we’ll reach herd immunity after another ~1 million to 1.2 million deaths. If you’re okay with that, great. The vast majority of the country is not okay with that. The vast majority will gladly take a safe and effective vaccine approved by the FDA after phase 3 clinical trials complete.

That makes sense given the latest available overall IFR number of 0.65% and the number of deaths reported thus far. Simple math says we’re at around 34 million having had it or currently infected with it. Comes out to around 10.4%.

Arguments against vaccines are political and ignorant? Ok, so you have no problems with how they’re made or falsified data or any agendas etc. Have fun, I won’t partake and know many who won’t either. Ironically, one of my friend’s father is an outstanding doctor in Edmonton, and years ago during H1N1 I asked if he was getting the shot and he said no way, his dad would never do that to them. At any rate, you do as you will, as long as it doesn’t interfere with me.

You understand that the flu vaccine is recreated every year, based on the available data about what strains are likely active and which mutations have taken place, right? It’s a new formulation each time. The program may be the same, but the vaccine you took last year is a totally different vaccine from the year before. And they don’t have to do full phase 1, 2, and 3 trials on each new formulation because they’re considered “close enough” to the previous one.

Not that I’m against the flu vaccine; just pointing out that the good doctor is correct in stating that the vaccine for COVID-19 will have more testing than this year’s flu vaccine.

Are you good with several state governors stuffing Covid patients with elderly to make deadly numbers to support the lockdown?
