It's also time to seriously consider breaking CA into three or four separate states.
With over 40,000,000 people, it is one of the world's largest nations all by itself.

[A simple majority of registered voters are on board with abolishing the Electoral College for presidential elections in favor of the popular vote.]

The USA being a Republic, Trump won the popular vote hands down.
Trump won the popular vote in 30 states and did not in the other 20 states.
The whole idea of somehow mixing all the votes in one huge tub is entirely un-american, since we are THE UNITED STATES of America, and each state counts.
