Since I haven’t seen dementia up close since my great aunt passed from Parkinsons in 2000, do you know if people afficted with it have good days mixed with bad days? Sometimes Biden seems on top of his game, and at other times, not so much.

Good question: don’t have a real answer though I lived for a couple of years with a mother-in-law with dementia.

Someone has suggested that Biden “sundowns” — i.e., like many people with dementia, his faculties degrade significantly after sunset. Don’t know at what time he made the remarks in the video, but since the news of RBG’s death broke around 7 PM, he might well have made them at night.
