Despite the fact that one vote is apparently already lost, that of Senator Murkowski of Alaska, and the votes of Susan Collins of Maine and Romney of Utah are at best questionable, I believe the Republicans must proceed with the nomination.

During the course of this nomination proceeding and hearings there will be leftist violence on the streets. The more violence, the better for Trump. The left will be energized respecting this nomination in any event, the issue of abortion will work against Trump's election with white, educated suburban women, especially single women, so the violence in the streets might be a potent offset to this tendency. Women don't like violence.

As for encouraging complacency by a confirmation before the election, I would think that the timing is very difficult to accomplish anything before the election but the process should be begun to draw out the Democrat opposition in its worst possible light. The Democrat base, as I said, will be energized, let's get the Republican base and more importantly independents enraged by Democrat violence.

The Democrats will do what they did in the Cavanaugh hearings, they have already demonstrated their propensity to violence, they have now two strikes against them, let them have a third.

Your opinion is certainly as valid as mine right now, these are just my tentative conclusions.

Thanks for that report. I’m multi-tasking between work and family time with Mom. Updates appreciated.

She died five months ago. Announced today, when early voting starts.

Libs are too obvious.

You are SUCH a great daughter. 😊👍🏻

As far as game shows go, if I had to pick one to watch, Jeopardy would be the one. Good show!

Thanks. Juar posted another storm thread for the Gulf of Mexico. OMG.

Watching CNN...the mourners are holding a vigil on the steps of the Supreme Court. Don Lemon is more solemn and annoyed than his New Year's Eve drunken binges. Jim Acosta phoned in for his gutter comments about President Trump.

Yeah, OMG is right. I've been making note of these potential hurricanes. They just seem to keep coming and coming during this dreadful year, don't they? :-(

Ugh... sickening what you said is going on over at CNN. I just can't stomach it now. From what I see on Fox News, the crowd is growing big time on the steps of the Supreme Court. People will bullhorns now showing up. Will Antifa / BLM start streaming in??

I see a lot of candles and flowers beginning to pile up on the SC steps. Like when Princess Diana and George Floyd died. Lots of candles and flowers. Candles tonight, Molotov cocktails tomorrow.

We can thank RBG for one thing. CoV-19 has been bumped from the headlines.
