HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania’s highest court gave the Democratic Party a series of victories Thursday, including one allowing repairs to glitches and gray areas in the battleground state’s fledgling mail-in voting law and another that kicked the Green Party’s presidential candidate off the November ballot.

The state Supreme Court, which has a 5-2 Democratic majority, granted the Democratic Party’s request to order a three-day extension of Pennsylvania’s Election Day deadline to count mailed-in ballots.

Yes, indeed, that’s the one kind of case they are much more willing to step in and interfere.

They can’t pull that if the vote isn’t close. Biden is going to have a hard time getting the black vote in numbers he needs to keep it close.

Why don’t we just hold out a few thousand votes of our own. Let the democrats turn theirs in and after they are counted we’ll bring in our box of unpostmarked ballots. Just enough to win of course. Two can play these games.

Amen. A demonic siege from demonized partisans requires the Restrainer to stop it.

Fine. I think Trump will double his margin here.

‘Why don’t we just hold out a few thousand votes of our own‘

Our side actually did that once. A few years ago In Wisconsin they tried to recall the Chief Justice. The GOP SOS held back a precinct but kept it quiet and the rats did the usual last minute submission to give them the win then SOS released the precinct and the Chief Justice prevailed. The little rats squealed like pigs when their usual trick failed

There are no Presidential elections in the Constitution.

Appointment of Electors is a SOLE prerogative of State Legislatures.

Why on Earth would the Supreme Court want to get involved in this?

So if I have to vote by Nov 3 in TX, it doesn’t discriminate against me to allow PA residents to vote till Nov 6?
What ever happened to “you can’t change the rules in the middle of the game?”

No. More of this gloomsterism. Even if all of Stein’s vote went to Cankles, Trump would have won PA by 30,000 votes.

Since then, Rs have added a net of over 100,000 voters. So Trump should win PA by 130,000-170,000 votes.

PA and MI is gone. WI become the roadblock. Not getting a warm fuzzy from that.

My. Cutting and running sort of quick aren’t we?

If the game is to allow 3 days worth of non-postmarked ballots past the election, then Republicans can do their own post-election ballot harvesting.

Yes, but because of the specific constitutional delegation of this stuff to the states, with as much leeway as they are given, there is very little grounds for anything in a case like this to be argued to be “unconstitutional”.

The Constitution delegates these powers not just to the "states", but more specifically, to the state legislators.

The PA SC is unconstitutionally taking that power away from the legislators.

The USSC should take such a case.

This is a clear violation of the standards set forth in Bush v. Gore. The Pennsylvania legislature specifically specified that all mail-in ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on election day. The Constitution prescribes that state legislatures, not state courts, decide election laws for election of the President.

The PA Supreme Court is way out of line. The election law specified by the PA legislature, not the state courts, must prevail under the federal Constitution.

Yes, the state legislatures, not the state SC's.

You just made the case for the USSC to get involved.

Voting for Presidential Electors is an act of the state legislature. It is solely a state election.

The US Supreme Court won’t get involved in a state election law case.

It’s a Federal election. Remember Bush-Gore in Florida?

You’re correct. Mark Levin is talking about this right now. Pennsylvania legislators are on vacation till the end of the month. A republican Pennsylvania legislator just called in and said they would have to convene an emergency session to address the matter. Let’s hope they will.

Well then any hope for a Federal Court to reverse this is futile. So every rat state can pull this BS if they have the state SC. It is hat to believe there is no recourse.

It won’t matter what the legislature does. The Dem governor would have to sign it and he won’t.
