I think if it is owned privately and does not receive any government funding, one can choose who lives there.

I drive through Wilkinson County frequently on US 441. The organizers initially looked into buying the town of Toomsboro, which is for sale at $1.7 million. The town already has a black mayor and a black chief of police. However, they found out that not all of the town is for sale, and so instead decided to buy some undeveloped property nearby. Unless they get some very large government grants or private donations to run water, sewer, and other utilities to the property, the development cost will be prohibitive.

Recently I had some free time when in the tri-state area so I drove around Alpine for a while.*Very* impressive! And that 26% Asian figure is surely computer executives,physicians and professors...they're certainly not Vietnamese boat people!

And yes,I've recently heard about huge,lavish parties held at Alpine mansions.Pretty funny actually.
