Remind me never to call a civil war era surgeon if I need some work done.

But all of those artifacts are amazing. What an interesting thread. I’m betting that bread is no good to eat anymore though from Pompeii.

Those poor civil war guys. What agony they must have gone through. Early on in my head injury I used to go to the hospital with very bad headaches for a morphine drip and even they wouldn’t last very long once I left.

There must have been so many addicts.

I have read that if the drug is available for a relatively low price, an opiod addict can live a relatively normal, productive life.

We did not have much money when I was a kid and my Mom would shop at the "Day Old Bakery". To this day, I do not like fresh bread. I like it a bit stale. ;o)
