Kamala Harris a COVID-19 vaccine before election: 'I would not trust Donald Trump'
Fox News ^ | September 5, 2020 | Caitlin McFall

Posted on 09/05/2020 8:41:30 PM PDT by familyop

Harris voiced concerns that medical professionals would not be the ones to validate a vaccine, if it was pushed out prior to the Nov. 3 election. “[T]hey’ll be muzzled, they’ll be suppressed, they will be sidelined...“I will say that I would not trust Donald Trump and it would have to be a credible source of information that talks about the efficacy and the reliability of whatever he's talking about,” she added...The Trump administration also asked states to prepare vaccine distribution sites by Nov. 1 – even though the FDA has not yet approved a vaccine...The move has health professionals increasingly worried, as the vaccine has not finished Phase Three clinical trials as of yet.

An effective vaccine is being treated by the Democrats as very bad political news. Want some really catostrophic news....The Russian vaccine just might be working.

Agreed.

And for all readers here, the vaccines in the U.S. are going through all required phases of testing and will be properly approved by the FDA. Because of the situation, they’re simply doing it without wasting any time. Phase 3 is well under way and looking good so far. Results from earlier testing (including some extra testing) were beyond expectations for at least one of the development companies. Perfect, actually.

I wouldn’t trust a vaccine where some of the essential assessment steps were short-circuited. That does not apply to the vaccines being developed by the USA (with some $$ from Canada too). No steps have been ommitted. No shortcuts have been taken.

Instead, the scope has not changed (develop and distribute a safe, effective vaccine); but, the timeline has been greatly accelerated through the application of massive amounts of money. For instance, the final clinical trials for safety and effectiveness are occurring simultaneously with mass production. This is a multi-hundred-million-dollar gamble — if it works, a vaccine will be available in about half the time people were predicting 6 months ago. If it doesn’t, several hundred million dollars will have been ‘wasted’. It’s a calculated risk — and, I think, a worthwhile one to have taken.

The vaccine will be as safe and effective as any vaccine developed following the usual snails-pace multi-year process. I’ll be taking it (if it passes all the hurdles).

Dr. Fauci shouldn’t be concerned about the safety of it, either. It’s been administered to people for about 6 months now. Moderna even did a monkey trial to allow for direct exposure of subjects to the virus. That and all of the other trials have yielded perfect results—far beyond speculative guesses publicized earlier.

These idiots (including HEELS UP) have clearly never run large projects where there are many things that are implemented sequentially but planned/developed “in parallel”. Trump KNOWS how to do “projects” in Trump quality but in “Trump Time”. He’s not satisfied with standard bureaucratic “we’re takin’ our sweet time” mode... nor should he be.

Thank you! I'd forgotten to mention what is accelerating the process the most: full production and preparations for distribution during trials. Thanks again for bringing that to our attention. I'll take the vaccination, too.

After some of the overseas shots received in the past (military), it will be easy. I received some word on the side effects of the Moderna vaccine for some with the dosage that was decided upon for Trial 3 (less than some of the subjects received in Trail 1). Not bad at all.

I would not trust someone whose as an Attorney General encouraged her subordinates to perjure under oath in order to "get" people suffering from questionable criminal charges. Such a leader is a danger to civil society.

I trust the vaccine, but feel no real urgency to take it as I’m under 55 and no co-morbidities. I’ve made it 6 months without getting the Rona; I think I know how to avoid it by now.

I’d bet it’ll be required to return my children to in person school, and I will have one child under 18 at that point who will be vaccinated in order to attend school, if that is what my tyrannical state (CA) requires. The other will be over 18 by the vaccine and can make his own decisions.
