NPR????
I could see someone feeling that soldiers who went to Vietnam got suckered (past tense).
Because the politicians didn’t intend to win it.
McNamara’s War was stupid and he suckered the President, the military and America into it.
There, fixed it.
Unnamed source = fabricated out of whole cloth.
The internal polling must be a disaster. Now they want the military vote. This smacks of desperation.
if such offensive statements were made about the military to the military, i would expect some to resign in disgust. i am aware of zero resignations. also the military runs towards the conflict not away. so if military heard their fallen insulted i would expect them to confirm on the record, to preserve the honor of the fallen. this sort of back room whispering reminds me of Vindman types - of the circular way the Steel dossier info moved around, none of it actually true. i smell a ‘Rat.
Probably liars like the soft, pudgy Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and his equally duplicitous & worthless twin brother..
BS.
The stench of desperation is all over this propagandist hit job.
Yep, it’s what the left does, they use, abuse and then abandon the military, everytime.
So now it’s about the Vietnam war? The same war the leftards were all against, that they boycotted by going to Canada, that they spit on soldiers returning from, that they violently demonstrated against and called soldiers “baby killers”. Now these same leftards are aghast that some Anonymous Never Trumpers are saying Trump said things similar to what all leftards said. Good luck with that playing outside your TDS base.
Clear as day when the Beltway Boobs had a meltdown when DJT redeployed much of the US Afghan force and pledged to be gone in a year or so. Trunp meant the end of any opportunity to get the US in a large sale ‘humanitarian intervention’ in Syria which would become an even bigger tar baby than Iraq with the prospects of many lucrative contracts for the connected businesses and persons. A few thousand dead Americans would be a small price for this glorious opportunity for profit and national grandeur.
There are many on both sides of the fence that think Vietnam and Afghanistan were dumb ideas.
I have to wonder what’s next. It’s clear at this point that the Democrats can tell any lie with impunity, and the media will support it 110%.
1. Generate the hoax using anonymous sources
2. Ask Biden about the story
3. Make Biden's comments about the story the news
4. Write other articles asking other sources about the story and make that another story
5. Make it sound like item 4 above is confirmation of the original story
6. Create a pro-Biden ad about this story
All this has happened in a few hours. I am sure some percentage of Trump supporters will believe this. I wonder if this was supposed to be the October surprise that was leaked early because of Trump's rising numbers.
I have never liked or trusted Griffin, there is something really sinister about her and she has never been able to hide her disdain for President Trump.
I seem to remember another Presidential candidate that once said...
You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you dont, you get stuck in Iraq.
I could see someone feeling that soldiers who went to Vietnam got suckered (past tense).
Because the politicians didnt intend to win it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My thoughts exactly. I think IF (and that’s a big IF) he said something like this, it is because he hates war, especially an unnecessary war, and might feel that these soldiers got suckered into going. That is not a disparaging comment to the military, it a disparaging comment toward our government who decided to go into a way they couldn’t win.
