Can’t believe this Major of Portland is so stupid to let his city burn.

He is caught on the horns of a dilemma.

If he cracks down on the rioters, they may primary him, and he may lose his political office.

If he does not crack down on the rioters, other people's property and public buildings will be burned down.

To a leftist politician, this is a no-brainer. So what if other people's property is destroyed?

No leftist politician would ever risk political power to save other people's property.

Maybe he is holding out for the Presidential election because he thinks Joe Biden will send him federal money of Biden wins. If Biden loses and the taxpayers in Portland have to pay to repair all of the damages, they may replace the current mayor with a new idiot.

Even less likely is that they will come to their senses and demand his resignation and replacement with a grownup, or vote for a grownup next election cycle. Hell, are there any grownups in Portland, or is Max Frost mayor for life there?
