Portland rioter Phillip Lawrence Nelson is now a suspect in a double-stabbing murder that occurred just one week after he was caught and let go by local law enforcement.
The original charges against Nelson of interfering with a peace officer were dropped the day after his first arrest in early June, and he was released.
Cassy Leaton and Najaf Nate Hobbs were found stabbed to death in Portland on June 16 after an apparent dispute over the building Nelson had been squatting in. Nelson faces two murder charges and is being held without bail.
Nelson is hardly the first or last left-wing rioter to be freed under an unofficial catch-and-release program by district attorneys in some of Americas most violent Democrat-run cities.

I called this thing a prison riot spill outside.
Now we have the “shive” incident.
Where are the sniper towers?
The DA who released him is now complicit in these murders, and should be charged.
SHOW ME THE VIDEO OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN.
I think that getting him criminally charged will be a little too difficult. Perhaps first getting started on disbarment proceedings for the DA would be in order. Then follow that up with some Portland billboards showing his name and maybe quotes from the families of those stabbed by the released criminal. Then perhaps a recall petition, just to make sure he gets the message that what he has done is not acceptable.
Organize a vigilance committee and charge the county DA with murder. A one hour trial followed by a 10 minute hanging.
So they will defund police, legally endanger (with civil court threats to cops) and handcuff the remaining ones with review boards, make rules to destroy the ability to hold a struggling and fleeing violent suspect, let a criminal out without bail and thus effectively allow more crimes to innocent citizens.
What a plan./S
P.S. Around 33 million Americans are eager to vote Dem this year. No sympathy for them.
Phone call from Soros himself: "We're proud of you and your work for social justice."
DA: "Ohmigod. It really is you. You've always been my hero, Mr. Soros. I'm so nervous and excited. Give me a minute to catch my breath."
"He was always so quiet and extremely friendly, I'm just shocked" /s
Time for the Dodge City option.
