Everything in Michelle Obama’s life is viewed through the lens of her own racism and failure to accept that most people still enjoy the company of their own kind. But blacks have great difficulty enjoying theirs amongst themselves.

She's a very poor example to the black population for the bitterness and anger she carries on her shoulders which outweighs her fake words of encouraging others.....if she truly believed what she says about getting ahead she'd be talking about the advantages she had and those who assisted her throughout life......as most successful people do.

It reminds me of a trip my husband and I took to NV from Sacramento to see the Bonanza TV location and the filming of a show in the sixties. I was not impressed with Michael Langdon’s behavior there - probably the same as you experienced with Doris Day. His wife was there and when they weren’t shooting a scene, he didn’t want to be bothered by fans. As I remember, fans couldn’t leave a certain area..I guess to keep out of the scenes being shot? I liked him but that “celebrity air” always stuck with me.

We were only there for a short time. We lived in Carmel Valley and I went to a 2 room school. One room was 1-6th grade and the other one was 7-12th grade. Finally made it back there a couple years ago. Still pretty but to hoity toity for me now. The Bonanza location has since closed and was sold to someone up at Lake Tahoe. Probably some condos or ski lodge/resort. We’ll have to drive up and check it out.
