WASHINGTON—The U.S.–China trade war and the COVID-19 pandemic have forced companies to reduce their excessive dependence on China as a single supplier.
U.S. brands have started to explore sourcing options closer to home, with Latin and South America gaining significant traction in recent months, according to a survey by Qima, a Hong Kong-based supply chain inspection company.
The survey conducted in July among more than 200 businesses around the world found that respondents are increasingly moving their sourcing away from China. Ninety-three percent of U.S. respondents reported that they had plans to further diversify their supply chains. Meanwhile, less than half of EU respondents had a similar strategy.

My corporate report tells me that staffing is still in short supply even though Central Americans can get a job with the equivalent of an 8th grade education and a desire to work. Mexico will give them their equivalent of a green card since there are not enough locals to staff the jobs in Tijuana even with decent pay and benefits by Mexican standards.
Most of them still won't touch the jobs. Now, why do you suppose that is?
Because they are still hoping for the gate to open for free stuff in America?
Biden must be immediately be investigated by the FBI and the CIA, FISA warrants must be issued because clearly China wants Biden to win. There must be COLLUSION!
I could tell you what my corporate report tells me (even if he was born and raised in Mexico), but I would get called racist.

I predict within a few years China is going to start nationalizing co’s like Tesla if this trend continues.
Hell, anyone with one eye and a grain of sense knew that.
The problem with that is once you start nationalizing companies, the former owners of those companies tend not to buy those products.
It's been happening for decades. In the early 1990's, GTE/Sprint built what I think was the first cell phone network in China. As soon as it was finished, China nationalized it. That didn't stop anybody but GTE from doing business in China.
In the last 4 years - 5 MILLION jobs have been reshored from China to the US and Mexico. 4 million to Mexico. 1 million to the USA. But, the percentage of jobs going to the USA is climbing dramatically.
Buy USA.
Give your neighbors a job.
