Seahawks' Pete Carroll lectures on racism in US: 'White people don't know enough' (Unbelievable)

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll delivered a message aimed at White people during a video conference call with reporters on Saturday.

Carroll called on coaches to listen to Black people on racism they’ve experienced in the U.S. He talked about the issues his players have faced upon returning to camp and said that “White people don’t know enough” about racism in the U.S.

“[White people] need to be coached up and they need to be educated about what the heck is going on in the world,” Carroll said, according to the team’s website. “Black people can't scream anymore, they can't march anymore, they can't bear their souls anymore to what they've lived with for hundreds of years because White guys came over from Europe and started a new country with a great idea and great ideals and wrote down great writings and laws and all of that about democracy and freedom and equality for all. And then that's not what happened, because we went down this road here and followed economics – rich White guys making money – and they put together a system of slavery, and we've never left it, really. It has never gone away.”

Carroll added: “And Black people know the truth, they know exactly what's going on. It's White people who don't know. It's not that they're not telling us; they've been telling us the stories. We know what's right and what's wrong, we just have not been open to listen to it. We've been unwilling to accept the real history. We've been taught a false history of what happened in this country, we've been basing things on false premises, and it has not been about equality for all, it has not been about freedom for all...

I suspect that someone has troubling recordings of him involved in either inappropriate sexual behavior or racist comments. What would possess this white bread cracker to lecture the innocent about someone else’s racism?

He has always appeared to me as being a suck up ... now there is no doubt.

Stopped watching football a few years ago during the Kaepernick nonsense, but did watch the Seahawks a bit last year, as they had traded away their problem players and the protests weren't as prevalent. Now I'm done with them.

Fool. The rich guys, white or otherwise, came up with slavery MILLENNIA ago.

The idea that we’re all equal came from BETTER white guys in the late 1700’s and we’ve been going to that goal for 200+ years. How many white guys died in 1860-65 making that happen, Pete? It has been a process, not an immediate thing, but progress IS made, thanks to those recent (historically) enlightened white guys.

A long time ago, union organizers used to hang around manufacturing plants passing out flyers with all the standard complaints.

Pro-sports teams probably have similar "troublemakers" feeding stuff to the players.

Pete asked his players what he could do to help and someone handed him this pre-written speech (straight from the commie playbook).

***just speculating***

Slavery has been around at least since the Code of Hammurabi (1754~ BC)

White people are smart enough to know what is going on and to continue to thrive. We do not shoot each other all the time either.

Blacks think so little of themselves that they push lowering every bar in society and education because they believe they can not rise to meet those, “White standards”.

I guess they think they can not meet those standards.....

That is garbage but that is what their own black leadership is telling them.

Did he ‘date’ black female students too during his collegiate coaching days? Or only white coeds?

Enquiring minds want to know.

Documented, perhaps from then, but slavery has existed long, long before that. Primitive hunter gatherers took slaves as a matter of prestige of fighting skill.

They say we all have some Neanderthal DNA in us. Maybe from the Neanderthal women slaves.

Absolutely.

Slavery started when war started. Or before.

I suppose I should not point out that slavery predates humanity should I.

Ants take other ants as slaves.
