The real toll was on the forced laborers, many of them skilled craftsmen, mostly Jewish, at the underground production facilities in Nordhausen.
There were two massive air raids on Peenemunde, first by the RAF by night followed by the USAAF by day. Though there was substantial destruction of the facilities, Dornberger said that the greatest loss was in irreplaceable skilled personnel, over 200 killed.
The Germans spent more money on the militarily worthless V-Waffen than the U.S. spent on the Manhattan Project. Of course, the U.S. was greatly assisted by scientists whom the Germans had chased out of Europe. (The U.S. spent more on radar than it did on the Manhattan Project, also a great investment. Radar won the War, the A-Bomb ended it.)

The Bible line was part of a movement to end long time tribal warfare, family rivalry killings and revenge honor killings including blood vendettas. Muslims in the Middle East still carry them out despite the limits placed on Christians and Jews by that Bible line.
The Bible meant this to limit the violence to one incident based on one decision of their system of justice. To end ongoing decades of fighting after the one injustice.

WE did not do anything to the entire race of people not involved in those killings. Or many others.
However black people are incited to get somebody white, as if all white people are somehow to blame. That "systemic racism" ploy means no white person can say "I will not do anything to blacks" or "I personally am not a racist" because the whole USA is already found guilty. That is an injustice that must be stopped.
They just want to be free to rape, rob, and murder free of legal ramifications.
