Gandhi was wise in his choice of opponents, the British Empire. If he tried that against the Nazis or Japs he would have been an grease stain under their tank treads. See my subsequent post:

No sane person wants a race war. If one comes, one side is much larger in numbers, better armed and organized, and far more competent in the application of violence.
