The Kenosha Shootings / Kyle Rittenhouse: A Tactical and Legal Analysis: UPDATED: 1st Shooter ID'd?
AR15COM ^ | August 27, 2020 (update 8/29) | Austrian

By now the majority of you will have seen or heard of the pair of engagements in Kenosha, Wisconsin (hereinafter the "Engagements") between one Kyle Rittenhouse and a number of other individuals, some recently departed, others now unfortunately unable to operate a keyboard with any efficiency, particularly when proper capitalization is required of their typewritten text. In the wake of these encounters it is quite something to see the degree of bad information, misinformation, and disinformation that has showered the socialinterwebsitetubes, particularly from a tactical and legal perspective.

On the tactical side, it is surprising that matters seem so distorted, since the Engagements must rank among the most comprehensively filmed deadly force CQB incidents in some years (and one of the only engagements in recent memory involving an AR system). In fact, despite the poor lighting conditions, the mobile nature of the camera operators (none, to my knowledge, trained combat photographers), and the chaos of small unit action that will be familiar to anyone who has been in the midst of it, it is possible to view the most cogent parts of the engagement in vivid detail, from multiple camera angles, and with stereo sound.

Given the sudden merger of two subjects of great interest to me, and a five hour phone call I had with an old acquaintance now an employee of the Federal Government of the United States based not far from Wisconsin, I could not but look into the Engagements more carefully. Having done so, I could not but type up my analysis. Having done so I could not but seek a forum for publication. ... I reverted to my first choice in scholarly publication excellence: ARFCOM.

Just damn. It really does look and sound tall guy in dark clothes following the chase raised a pistol and fired a round into the air in order to provoke a killing.

LOL! I said up front that it read like a detective novel (except some details and names are still unknown). You wouldn't expect to have the ending revealed in the first chapter, would you?

Obviously many of these “protesters” comprise a trained hard core cadre of revolutionaries. The have operations and logistics all over the country. Very expensive and very hard to conceal. This group has been a major player clearly since 2015. Where the heck has the FBI been? Back in the 60’s the FBI had the same problem. Those organizations in the 60’s were constantly infiltrated and busted. Now the murdering revolutionaries run free for years, not a worry to be had.

Eight years of Democrat corruption at the Oval Office level. These black clad anarchists are the shock troops of “hope and change”

The Fey Wray seems like an unlikely leader to come down on the militant wing of the ‘Rat Party.

Obviously many of these “protesters” comprise a trained hard core cadre of revolutionaries.

Amazing that the two Kyle took out and the third he wounded (now to be known as Lefty), all had criminal records though it wouldn't have mattered if Kyle had not shot in self defense. The fact that there are multiple videos of the encounters plus a credible witness (reporter/photographer McGinnis from "The Hill" website) will allow a strong defense.

Already in the June Albuquerque shooting, video has proved to be critical in the defense of the shooter, Steven Baca, when the shot victim, Scott Williams, testified that he was only trying to knock the gun out of Baca's hand. It was clear that the judge in the preliminary hearing wasn't buying it saying the testimony given differs from the photos and videos provided by the defense. However, she denied the defense motion to dismiss saying the case was going to trial. The Soros-backed elected prosecutor is going all out to put Baca in prison for the shooting although clearly self-defense.

The incident that started the chase by the mob was Baca and a female protester tangling with her trying to block him from protecting the statue they were pulling down. Baca pushed her and she fell to the ground which gave the mob an excuse to first beat him and, when he retreated down the street, chase him shouting "kill him." It was only after the chase and being tackled to the ground that he discharged his handgun.

"pretty sure the tall bearded guy with the black cap on is the first shooter..hes at 56 seconds of the vid...the girl with the red scarf around her head is his girlfriend..."

I saw someone who looked exactly like Lurch, there, in another state a few months ago, just after a woman who looked like her drove a large, white pickup truck too fast through a parking lot. He went into the store (a Walmart) and acted very bizarre, like he was paranoid and high on something (like meth or coke). That was just off of a major traffic corridor that goes into Wisconsin.

We already know the ending. We’re not going to sift through a bunch of boring prose to tell us what we already know.

The tall dude with the beard—or someone who looked exactly like him—was in the pickup truck with the woman, BTW. Then he went in the store.

Good videos.

This should be an open and shut case of self defense.

Not bad but needs some clarification and updating:

from the Bainbridge letter below (caveat - I couldn’t cut and paste, so this is a hand transcribe):
“After Kyle finished his work that day as a community lifeguard in Kenosha, he wanted to help clean up some of the damage, so he and a friend went to the local public high school to remove grafitti from rioters. Later in the day, they received information about a call for help from a local business owner, whose downtown Kenosha auto dealership was largely destroyed by mob violence. The business owner needed help to protect what was left of his life’s work, including two nearby mechanic’s shops....[the letter goes on to say that Kyle went to the gas station to render aid and on the way back he was blocked by the PD from returning to his original post, so he headed to the 2nd mechanic shop] As Kyle proceeded to the second mechanic’s shop, he was accosted by multiple rioters who recognized that he had been attempting to protect a business the rioters wanted to destroy. This outraged rioters and created a mob determined to hurt Kyle. They began chasing him down....” (use the right arrow on the twitter page to go to page 2)
https://twitter.com/KristenBarbar/status/1299482504219549696/photo/1

The letter also states that the long gun Kyle used was never transported over state lines; it never left Wisconsin. He turned himself in voluntarily.

a short legal analysis is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSU9ZvnudFE

here is the criminal complaint - note that redshirt had five wounds - one to the pelvis, three superficial/non-lifethreatening, and the fatal shot - the one to the back, which is curious because he was lunging forward and fell forward, as described in the complaint. Was someone else shooting at Kyle, and redshirt caught one of the rounds in his back? Or a freak shot or?

https://www.mystateline.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/17/2020/08/Rittenhouse.pdf

Also to be noted: Mattis (the Daily Caller guy who was first on the scene), was punched and harassed for helping redshirt. Their car was blocked and it took some time to get redshirt to the hospital across the street)

i would assume the shot to the groin folded him up...a quick second shot went in the back as he was falling...
