Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s national polling lead over President Trump has shrunk after this week’s Republican National Convention, according to a new Morning Consult survey released Saturday.
The Morning Consult poll, conducted Friday, showed Biden leading with 50 percent support among likely voters, compared with 44 percent for Trump, with another 7 percent undecided. That’s a narrower margin than the 52-42 lead he had in the same poll on Aug. 23, the day before the Republican Convention kicked off.
The narrowing stands in contrast with a similar poll conducted after last week’s Democratic National Convention, which showed that Biden’s lead over Trump was statistically unchanged. Biden still holds a larger lead over Trump than Hillary Clinton did after the 2016 conventions.

What nonsense. Biden never has any lead over Trump.. more manufactured polling
Look I challenge anyone anywhere find me a single poll that has published their internals and asked the participants who they voted for last time and who they intend to vote for this time that shows any, any net movement away from Trump EVER during this cycle.. show me 1, just one.
They can’t because they don’t exist. You can play weighting and sanpling all you like to get the desired overall support/poll numbers but you can’t play games with those 2 questions... and every poll published that has asked those two questions shows an absolute net gain for Trump .. every single one.
Trump in every poll asking those questions shows the overwhelming majority of voters polled who voted for Trump last time intend to do so against his time... and that any loss (and there isn’t much) among that group are vastly out numbered by folks who voted Hillary last time but intend to vote Trump this time.
Trump is not behind, and never has been.
Every poll before November is a push poll.
November is push back.
When we hear and see things getting really ugly you know for sure Trump is up my more then one or two.I think Thursday nite in DC is what i’m talking about.
This reminds me of the wooden cannon the Confederates used to fool Union soldiers. They had an incredible advantage in cannons over the Union wherever that was. Ha hahahahaaaaaa....
National polls are worthless.
State polls, if done correctly, are much more important.
The battleground polls show a real tightening.
