Spent the last 36 hours walking around Kenosha in a daze. Large swathes of the city are indistinguishable from a war zone.
The destruction in places is total, the locals dazed, shocked and trying to be brave.

Every single local I spoke to blamed "out of towners" for the worst of the destruction. They didn't offer a huge amount of evidence for this, but it's a blanket consensus /4
This is the car lot next to where the Kyle Rittenhouse shootings took place. You could still taste the smoke /5
Pretty much every boarded up shop has a mural or painting on it now. Some have plaintive requests to prospective fire starters: "Kids live upstairs" /6

The owner of this bar told me they'd opened just before the pandemic. Having eventually reopened, it was broken into this week, he estimated $25k worth of damage /8
As we were talking, a young man came to ask the owner where the nearest post box was. "There used to be two across the street," he replied. "But they both just got burnt."

Well, those lives just don’t matter/s
It takes so much work and grit and determination in this world to build something worthwhile, and it takes communists minutes to destroy it.
This cannot be permitted to continue. The leftist governors and mayors are aiding and abetting it and refuse to accept help in getting it under control because they support its goals. They don’t care about the misery this has brought to their people, particularly the lower income and black people.
It has nothing to do with black people. Look at that fist clutching a heart that has been ripped out. “Revolution.”
I think Trump needs to invoke the Insurrection Act. This simply cannot go on.

The Associated Press reports another march planned for Kenosha tonight to protest police brutality.
Now that we've learned that Jacob Blake was a thoroughly criminal POS who deserved what he got, maybe they should protest the senseless destruction of their community committed in his name.
Poverty and hardship will now follow, as it has always followed when people destroy their communities. It followed, and rightfully so, after blacks rioted in the 60s and 70s, and it will follow now.
THIS IS WHY you shoot rioters and looters without mercy. Why they should have always been met with gunfire at the hands of the ordinary people whose lives, persons and property they threaten.
As for the Marxists, they just want to see the world burn. They’ve learned that people are too afraid of being called names to put them down hard. They will never stop rioting.
You can vote your way into socialism.

Self-segregation. Why be all racist and stick together, and then destroy your own community? I know lots of black folks who don't do that, and life is just fine for them. Don't be a self-pitying fool; be an achiever and leave the Democrat plantation.
All of this just shows how necessary our digital public forums are.
Until 10 or 20 are laid out some night for looting and arson this will continue.
