I was only a lurker in 2012, but I was struck at how fervently most Freepers supported and defended Romney against Obama. They defended Romney against every attack, including the fact his Bain Capital destroyed companies and sent jobs to China. “That’s how capitalism works!” his defenders said.
I didn’t vote for Romney-Ryan and I cheered when their defeat was announced. If Romney-Ryan had won, Ryan would be the GOP presidential candidate this year. Imagine that
Freepers were outraged that Harry Reid said Romney didn’t pay taxes. But how would Freepers know that Harry Reid was wrong? They had no way of knowing. They were just automatically defending Romney. As if he would ever have their back in the same way. They acted like a bunch of sheeple for Romney
PS, we still don’t know that Harry Reid was wrong. For all I know, Romney May have paid no taxes in the years Reid was referring to. What reason has Romney given me to believe him on faith? I am not a sheeple for whoever the GOP runs for office
