Pointing out that Jerry Jr is an attorney, real estate guy and was president of Liberty University while his brother Jonathon is the pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church is more than many can handle.
FWIW, my landlord works at Liberty University and told me most of Jr’s problems have been self inflicted. He wouldn’t elaborate.
He did say the interim president is a retired pastor who built one the largest churches in Alaska and has served on the Liberty board for some time.

Jonathan the pastor seems to be squeaky clean. Haven’t heard a hint of scandal about him or his family ever.
One of the first churches to reopen after the lockdown Thomas Road developed a system where you sign up for a sermon time and attendance is limited to those the church can handle using social distancing guidelines.
Jonathan preaches three or more sermons each Sunday with associate pastors preaching another three.

Probably Jerry Prevo. I lived in Alaska in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and Prevo had his huge church there, and was super active in the Moral Majority along with Jerry Falwell, Sr.
That may be true, but the general public doesn't now who Jonathon is. JF JR. is the one in the media, so he is seen as the representative for all of it.
I read today, that JR. was picked to be head of the University, because of his, “aggressive business instincts,” and Jonathan is minister of the church, because of his, “charisma and morally upstanding character.” Which makes it sound like the father knew the former had issues.
