If i was a Portland cop I would let every protester know that the mayor's house and city council members houses are open for protests. They're are the ones who need to feel these protests.

Portland and NYC police should just walk away.
Publicly. If the city wants to de-fund then just leave. You’re going to get laid off anyway. Get a head start on looking for a new job.
Let the mayor and city council quake in fear.
