The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics. Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives! @SteveFDA

So some employees at the FDA are obstructing. Not cool. It’s hard to fire them, too, and requires several slow moving steps.

Correct. He cannot. Gov’t Employee Union Rules make it exceedingly difficult. The President can easily (political considerations aside) fire appointees. But, gov’t employees are a totally different thing altogether.
But, there has been some progress here. The Supreme Court recently ruled that a President can fire former appointees from a previous administration that cross over from appointee to gov’t union employees to try to insulate themselves from being fired and bury themselves in the bureaucracy to undermine an incoming administration.
It’s a very big bureaucracy.
As an outsider Trump is kinda stuck finding someone sympatico to appoint.
An “establishment” President would have plenty to appoint who would obey him- as long as he obeyed the “establishment”.
If not enough people are volunteering, that’s really not a deep state thing, it’s a lack of volunteers thing.
Though if they’re giving out placebos to a percentage of the testers, I can see why people would take a pass on the chance of getting the fakes. In a situation such as this placebos make absolutely zero sense at all.
I volunteered as a vaccine subject about a month ago. Have called them twice to see what’s up. They said they would call soon, but it is well past soon.
I wouldn’t sign up for it. Not because I won’t take the vaccine, but because getting a fake vaccine (placebo) would be way worse than getting a Shemp when you’re expecting a Curly Stooge’s short.
Anyway, just say you got the placebo - it would work out the same any way.
If I was stupid enough to want to volunteer for the Gates / Fauci ‘vaccine’, it would be good that someone made it difficult to make it difficult for me to do. I’d thank them for it later.

Frankly, I don’t think I’ve seen a single COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial volunteer recruitment advertisement. It wouldn’t hurt if the “we’re taking our sweet time” FDA would have some television and internet public service advertisements telling people how to volunteer.

Trump should call for volunteers and tell them where to sign up (via twitter) - with the proviso that none of the volunteers be given a placebo.
Be that as it may, the Supreme Court has upheld Gov’t Employee protections. And, until or unless their Rulings are challenged by an Executive that tells the SC to go pound sand we are where we are.
No Executive since Jackson has ever told the SC to go pound sand. And, with the sheer number of RINO’s in the Republican Party if Trump were to do so those squishes would gladly join the dems in their resulting impeachment of President Trump.
A great many of them never wanted Trump to become President. An action like that would give them the cover they need to send him packing and then, it’s business as usual.

Then it wouldn’t be a clinical trial to determine efficacy. That’s IMPORTANT!
I signed up to test the vaccine. After hours of doing preliminaries, I was told they had enough people in my demographic, so they didn’t need me. Then, the day before my first appointment, I got a reminder call. They said I was still in the study, so I made a second date for a first appointment. Two days before I was called and told my appointment time was full and I could travel to a location 50 miles away. I told them not to call me any more because if they couldn’t get appointments right, I wasn’t trusting them to inject me with a new substance. That’s my experience why they may be having trouble getting people to participate.
