For a generation after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, most Americans and Europeans regarded Marxism as an enemy that had been defeated once and for all. But they were wrong. A mere 30 years later, Marxism is back, and making an astonishingly successful bid to seize control of the most important American media companies, universities and schools, major corporations and philanthropic organizations, and even the courts, the government bureaucracy, and some churches. As American cities succumb to rioting, arson, and looting, it appears as though the liberal custodians of many of these institutions . . .

Very privileged liberals have always been involved in pushing Marxism. Usually they get slaughtered when the revolution happens, but they are always in the vanguard during the “subversive” period that precedes that.
Good points, FRiend, but let me ask this:
Are the privileged liberals trying to assuage their collective guilt ... or perhaps indulge their individual narcissism?
It’s entirely possible that the two are not mutually exclusive.
Who would have thought mental illness would become the true plague of our times?
Yes, Fredrick Engels who collaborated with Marx, was a wealthy bourgeois who owned textile factories in Germany. And many of today’s privileged liberals want to assuage their guilt without losing their money... as a good communist would for the sake of equality. It’s called “having your cake and eating it.”
Basically, very greedy people with no inner moral compunction to not be hypocrites. To justify their hypocrisy the more thoughtful sophists will quote Martin Heidegger and say “contradictions exist at the deepest levels of reality.”
But I put if all down to luxury. It is a luxury to have these dilemmas and America is wealthy enough to have some important people think “transgender washrooms” is a serious problem. If many people were starving and ill these “problems” would vanish. No. America is wealthy to afford these insane indulgences and playing with lunacy: defund the police, set up homeless in hotels, men getting pregnant, put men in women’s sports, etc. These rich liberals will try to out match each other for the most insane, asinine ideas. The more insane, the more self flattery that you are a genius, a visionary, and artist before your time. Yes, it all centres back on themselves and they are wealthy enough to be place in important positions, usually in the Democrat party.
There is no doubt that the liberals who are advocating this revolution will be among the first who go to the executioner for the sins of their heritage. They have no clue what they are asking for.
And yes, this has been a universal characteristic of marxist/neo-utopian revolutions of the past, but the heavy lifting of riots and destruction has typically been borne by the “oppressed,” class while the liberals provided coffee house intellectual encouragement. Today I am seeing BLM riots without a black person in sight. It’s mainly young white female liberals (who will end up as the revolution’s harem).
....”They have no clue what they are asking for”...
Oh yes they do...but falsely ‘believe’ as always they will be exempt.

For studies in its absurdity:
A wonderfully reasoned article that explains how smart-ass Democrats unleashed the mad dogs of Marxism onto themselves and the Country as a whole. These are the so called elitists who indoctrinated our youth for years on how wonderful and enlightened Progressivism is. Not surprisingly, the naive youth swallowed the utopian crap, hook, line, and sinker and are now rabid Marxists. A few remaining rational liberals realize they have now lost control of their Party, but they do not have a clue how to recover. Indeed, being weak backed liberals they have succumbed to their Marxist underlings. So, after trashing their own Party and the Country, it will be up to us to restore order.
