I agree - mean spirited. Just showing his behavior and comments would be enough and let the reader make their own judgements.
Regarding the reporter asking about the cognitive test, I thought the worst part about that (for Biden) was bringing up drugs. Voice-over should have been something about the race/drugs/junkie thing. The reader can make up their own mind on how crazy Biden sounds.
OTOH - I thought in the 2016 election Trump was being too brash, etc. But it worked out okay for him.

There’s a lot of truth to that. An occasional spoof is one thing, but I would not dwell on it.
Trump ads perceived as mean to a demented old man will backfire. The president will come off as a bully, especially to voters who have an Alzheimers relative or friend.

I don’t think it’s an official campaign ad. Even if it were, Biden’s flaws are fair game for anyone, including Trump, to use. The RATs wanted him; the RATs got him. Now they have to deal with the consequences.

His ad a few days ago was good: Biden then vs. Biden now. Showcasing how little he's done in the Senate. Hobbling him with all Obama's sh*t decisions.
Very effective, matter of fact. I'm telling you, many women voters' sympathy gland will override reality and they'll vote against him based on that alone.
