Goodyear will be having a bad year, worse than the other tire manufacturers. Immedialely, Goodyear tires should be “not acceptable” on police cars. That’s a lot of tires.

One issue with that is that until recently only Goodyear offers police tires that don’t pop when you drive over a curb at speed, mostly their RS-A line. Fortunately, Michelin’s BFGoodrich brand has recently started making competing offerings: https://www.rubbernews.com/article/20180814/NEWS/180819976/bfgoodrich-adapts-advantage-g-force-tires-for-police-vehicles

However, their RS-As are pretty crap otherwise (former P71 owner here) so departments will have to figure out what they want to do.

Er, *Goodyear’s* RS-As are kind of crap at everything else except not popping when driving over curbs. I don’t know how good or bad the BFG offerings are in the real world.
