Having read the book Bird Box I decided to watch it on Netflix. Were it up to me we wouldn’t have Netflix but it’s not up to me. Anyway they made a fairly important character in there a homosexual. It wasn’t in the book, it didn’t advance the plot. They just had to refer to his dead “husband “ a couple times to check a box.
