Unfortunately they win a lot of elections up there. DFL is the “Democratic Farmer Labor” party - they are associated with the national Democrat party but as a whole are even *more* leftist in their platform.

Since most of us don't come from Minnesota, I had to look it up: DFL stands for Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party which apparently was founded by Hubert Humphrey and has always been "progressive".

Mr. Thompson pretty well sums up what this party stands for today. And why racism exists.
