You should see one of Seattle’s parking garages - it has a HUGE generating station on the roof to plug Tesla cars in when they park there...

A low-powered Tesla Model 3 takes 50 KW to charge.
Enough to power my AC over the hottest 5 hours of the day.
Which is fine at noon. PLENTY of solar power available.
But not many are charging at noon. They start at 5pm.
