U.S. and Poland Sign Deal to Relocate Troops After Germany’s NATO Spending Failures
Breitbart ^ | 15 august 2020 | KURT ZINDULKA

United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, signed an agreement with his Polish counterpart in Warsaw, that will result in an increased American military presence in the country. The move came after President Donald Trump’s decision to draw down forces in Germany, over the country’s failures to meet its NATO spending requirements.

The Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement was signed by Pompeo and Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak. The agreement will give U.S. armed forces greater access to Polish military infrastructure and will create a framework for a sharing of costs between the two nations for the American military presence.

The agreement will also lay the groundwork for a redeployment of American troops to Poland from Germany.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, then-American Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, said that Germany has been “woeful” in living up to its commitments to NATO.

“Germany is the largest economy in Europe. They made a commitment to NATO, and they should be serious about that commitment; it is a multilateral institution that guarantees the allies, guaranteeing freedom,” Grenell said in 2018.

Poland, on the other hand, is one of the few NATO countries in Europe to meet its spending obligations.

I love the policy of strengthening alliances with Eastern European countries that are repelling the invasion.

But I was told Trump is Putin’s puppet.

Of course those who say that think Poland is in the Netherlands.

Yup. Reward good behavior. Poland is a fine Judeo/Christian country that protects its borders and national sovereignty. I would include Hungary and the Czech Republic as well.

One of these days this pussification of the German white male is going to backfire and blow-up big time and the result will be something that will make the strength of the former third Reich look like nothing. These social engineers fail to understand even the basics of human nature such as don’t even think or try to push the pendulum of the beast too far!

How many Americans died fighting the Germans? And now we defend them?

Good move.

Since ‘Jerkel’ doesn’t want us, maybe we should leave.

Actually she want our MONEY and DEFENSE but would like to get it and not deal with US.

Speaking of Poland-——

They will NEVER be able to build a National Stadium in Warsaw.

Too many people will end up sitting behind a POLE....

....GROAN....

How many Americans died fighting the British? And now we ally with them?

Same questions. Think about it. Times change - in the next decade we are likely to ally with Vietnam against China.

Americans? Arguably British revolutionaries at the time. But point made about changing times. Japan.

Actually Germany got a 13.5 billion marks surplus this year, and they are holding several meetings on what to do with all that money.

Of course, paying their full 2% of GDP to NATO is out of the question.

Now let’s give them missile defense.

How about let's sell them missile defense? If they really want it then they can afford it.

Viet nam, yes, and they really want us as allies. Strange, VN looks nothing like it was in the 60’s. Not much like the commie police state of after 1975. It is true people just don't talk much about the ‘period of repression’, but then the wartime generation tends to be close mouthed about much of the war, except the tourism parts. Big very capitalist cities. Da Namg now really looks clean and prosperous and many, perhaps most Viets seem fascinated with the USA and appear to like Americans.

Its a step in the right direction....but what we should really do is withdraw from NATO, bring every single last soldier home from Germany and from other so-called “allies”, and offer mutual defense pacts to real allies like the UK and Poland.
