Flashback: CNN contributor who warned of sexist coverage of Biden VP once mocked Ann Romney. Hilary Rosen said of Mitt Romney's wife, she 'never worked a day in her life'
A new group called We Have Her Back promises to make sure that the future running mate of presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden will receive fair coverage from the media, but one of the signatories vowing to defend the female VP pick from "sexist" attacks was once under fire herself for remarks she made about Ann Romney during the 2012 election.
CNN commentator Hilary Rosen was one of several prominent women who signed an open letter calling on media outlets to refrain from using misogynistic tropes against the soon-to-be-announced vice presidential candidate. ...
We are reaching out now because we are about to embark on a historic moment once again having a woman on a presidential campaign ticket. While you have already done significant reporting on the process, we know you are actively preparing for coverage about the specific Democratic vice presidential nominee, began the letter addressed to news division heads, editors in chiefs, bureau chiefs, political directors, editors,...
"Given how few women have reached this point, the sometimes disappointing coverage of the process to date and the double standards weve seen in the public and media expectations of women leaders over the years and even more so for Black and Brown women leaders we wanted to respectfully share some thoughts with you about the medias role in the scrutiny and coverage of women and women of color candidates in general, and the vice-presidential candidate in particular, the letter continued.
Rosen, however, was not always this concerned about how women are portrayed by the media.

Dems and lefties remind me of a person holding a daisy in their hand, one by one plucking the petals, and saying “I’m #MeToo,” then plucking another petal while sayimg “Now I’m #MeTooFaced,” then plucking another saying “We decide what’s sexist” and then plucking another petal while saying “We decide what isn’t sexist” and on and on it goes.
They need to rename it to “We Have Her Back, If She Is A Democrat, And If She Doesn’t Accuse A Male Democrat Running For President.”
Sounds like they know hes picking Michael.
I noticed that Stacey Abrahms is not on the list for VP( according to the article). She is gonna be pissed!
“CNN commentator Hilary Rosen was one of several prominent women who signed an open letter calling on media outlets to refrain from using misogynistic tropes...”
CNN says don’t hold liberal women accountable.
She’ll eat a huge plate of chicken and waffles to get over it.
Stalinists lie. Always
The issue is never the issue
And after the savaging that Sarah Palin took in 2008, any Democrat whining about misogynistic coverage of Slow Joe's running mate can kiss my lily white sitting muscle.
These people totally lack self-awareness.
You have a problem with chicken and waffles ?
haha!!! Maybe that’s why Joe did not consider her, she’s not sniffable.
Yep, it was actually worse to attack Ann Romney than to attack a DNC pick for a VP running mate for Biden.
And adding to that point, Sarah Palin, their #MeToo fiascoes and hypocrisy, and dumping women when they accuse Democrat men of improprieties, needs to be hurled at them repeatedly to remind them they aren’t gods.
From the basement, Joe was heard to slur, "I've Got Her Front."
No, they’re delicious.
She being from Georgia, it makes sense.
I remember how they all rushed to defend Sarah Palin...
Please, take Whitmer, and deliver Michigan...to Trump.
I’m wondering if that shouldn’t be “Mikhael”.
From the FRchives:
Virtue signaling convinces the left of its own unimpeachable morals. When push comes to shove, it rejects guilt for any of its wrongdoing and attributes such allegations to conspiracy theories.
Peter Daou, a Democratic strategist and former advisor to Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, tweeted on Monday that Ford will be "attacked, smeared, and demonized" and that people must "BELIEVE WOMEN."
Somehow, I don't think Michael wants to take on any job real soon.
Thanks. Much appreciated.
