A recent study by SmartAsset took a look at where well-off millennials are moving to and from. Specifically, they looked at individuals younger than age 35 with adjusted gross incomes of at least $100,000.
New York, Illinois and Massachusetts, in that order, were worst off for net loss of that group, they found. The study was based on IRS data between 2017 and 2018.
The three biggest winners were Washington, Colorado and Texas.
