Schumer and Pelosi are from high rent areas.
They want federal relief to cover absurd SF and NYC rents. Federal funds should not be used to sustain excessive rents.
Bad policy, smart politics. With an election looming there really wasn’t anything else Trump could do. As it is his $400 enhanced unemployment benefit will be spun as a $200 “cut”.
Our Founding Fathers never anticipated that Congress would become the totally dysfunctional mess that it is today.
I agree with you though, in the hands of a POTUS with less character than Trump this could lead to very bad things.
More than what he did, the idea of admitting supporters to his press conferences to heckle the presstitutes was a stroke of genius! Hope he keeps it up.

Pelosi and Chuckie tacitly approved of the process believing that it is August of an election year and time will be better spent by Representatives campaigning at home rather than spinning wheels in DC. They got the reinstatement f the unemployment money. Having the issue of the money for the states is is believed to be more valuable than arguing the EO
Nancy Pelosi, the luxury ice cream maven, stated that she and Chuck would speak with Team Trump when they would meet their demands. For weeks Nancy and Chuck refused to deal, they demanded all or nothing from the Trump Administration.
Obviously President Trump had to use executive orders as President Obama had done. The $400.00 unemployment benefit will be $300.00 paid from the Federal Government and $100.00 paid from the states.
Nancy and Chuck complain that the states don’t have enough money to pay the unemployment benefits. Yet the states they represent, California and N.Y. spend about $175.00 per day to house homeless people in luxury hotels.
LOL! Andrew Cuomo has told New Yorkers to quit calling him about the $400. Perhaps Trump has found a way to skin those Lockdown Democrat Govs after all.

NY and California spend $175.00 per day for each homeless person to live in luxury hotels. Yet Nancy and Chuck say California and N.Y. don’t have enough money to spend $100.00 a week on unemployed people who are jobless because of the Covid-19 virus. The virus originated in China.
It’s kind of cute that you think our constitutional federal republic is still functioning.
Pelosi and Schumer couldn’t get they bail out money for all the screwed up democrats states so the want to hold up money for the needy a true democrat move.
