Interestingly, Sheriff is an elected position, so Sheriff Laurie Smith is equal to and does not have to take orders from any elected politician in California.
Stupidly, she chose to do favors for other elected politicians by approving or denying Concealed weapons permits at their requests, and they gave her “Campaign Contributions”.
Favors on the Permits are illegal but giving the contributions is not.
They all own her now.
This kind of corruption will end when we can get yid of all these unconstitutional laws. Then she won’t have any favors ( of this kind anyway) that she can sell.
