A Santa Clara County grand jury has indicted a county sheriffs captain, two local lawyers and the owner of a gun parts manufacturer in an alleged scheme by the Sheriffs Office to hand out concealed gun permits to political donors, District Attorney Jeff Rosen announced this morning.
However, Sheriff Laurie Smith has not been charged, though the investigation continues.
Capt. James Jensen, attorney Christopher Schumb, attorney Harpaul Nahal, and Milpitas weapons manufacturer Mike Nichols are accused of conspiring with AS Solution Inc., an international security company, to offer a $90,000 bribe to obtain permits for the companys executive protection agents.

Here it is, simply Bribe the Sheriff, ... how Democrat!!
if anyone still wonders why we have illegal gun control rules all over the place, its because lots and lots of corrupt people make tons of money from it
and because some dictatorially-included political hacks hope to be able to finish imposing their commie/nazi/leftist control regime on USA ... which they cannot get away with so long as Americans are prepared to defend the country from them
In a county of about 2 million souls, less than 150 have managed to get concealed carry permits.
These guys are really incompetent entrepreneurs. With a market space that big they only managed 150 customers???
Santa Clara county is mostly Far Left Prog Socialist, and they won't pay a bribe unless they can use Other People's Money.
The few Conservatives won't Bribe for 2A Rights on principle.
I pretty much blame Swamp Republicans.
Isn’t it just amazing and fascinating that the Two Main Players, The Bosses, are NOT CHARGED???
Not in Marxist Democrat America, they'll be on their knees and taking orders farther down the Rat pecking order for the rest of their lives.
happened on her watch
not much happens without the chief/sheriff knowing about it
either way doesn’t speak well for her
There are certainly still GOP-e type in it only for the money political hacks. They are a major nuisance. I think theyll be phased out of politics soon by the voters ( most of them anyway).

More democrats = less freedom.
There is NO second amendment in California, and the fetid supreme court is fine with it...
True.
Insider Laurie Smith was sure her Liberal friends would never turn on her, now she’s wearing a collar and leash.
May Issue = Corruption
(Every time)
That’s true, a “May Issue” Law is written to legitimize bias and discrimination in it’s application, and is designed to create corruption.
is this the one you mean? I googled Laurie Smith and it says:
“Laurie Smith, Actress: Private Teacher. Laurie, with wind blown-looking brunette hair, was a popular porn star. She was a tall, medium sized built (a natural built) woman. She will probably best known for her highly charged vocal sounds during her sex scenes. She deserves more praise in the industry than she got.”
No.
Interestingly, Sheriff is an elected position, so Sheriff Laurie Smith is equal to and does not have to take orders from any elected politician in California.
Stupidly, she chose to do favors for other elected politicians by approving or denying Concealed weapons permits at their requests, and they gave her “Campaign Contributions”.
Favors on the Permits are illegal but giving the contributions is not.
They all own her now.
This kind of corruption will end when we can get yid of all these unconstitutional laws. Then she wont have any favors ( of this kind anyway) that she can sell.
New York City had a massive scandal exposed with police brass signing permits and even driving diamond dealers to and from the airports.
True.
