I pay enough on April 15, I do not want to learn next April that I owe 10x the usual because it was not slowly removed from each paycheck. It seems as though the whole tax table/standard deduction thing would have to be revised in a huge way.
I agree, money should be in the hands of the people and I despise supporting an inefficient government. I am just not sure how this is going to work out come April 15 and will have to trust the experts.

Easy fix. Once you determine the amount NOT being any longer withheld simply set up a personal acct and fund it from each paycheck with the extra amount you are receiving. You will have the money next year to pay the taxes plus a few cents interest.

And if the legislation to forgive the amount passes the money you saved is all yours to play with.
