It is always more helpful to have cash in hand today versus years down the road. Trump needs the economy jumpstarted again and this will help with that.
Also, it is ALWAYS better to have normal citizens spending government’s money over the government Deep State/GOPE/Democrats spending it to “help the economy.”
This is a “no-brainer.”
I do not like the long term liability being added to, here, but, what choice does Trump have? The cost(s) of continued economic damage on the scale we have seen recently, or even only a fraction of that, is (are) and will be far worse. MANY small businesses (and some large ones) are just barely hanging on.
I pay enough on April 15, I do not want to learn next April that I owe 10x the usual because it was not slowly removed from each paycheck. It seems as though the whole tax table/standard deduction thing would have to be revised in a huge way.
I agree, money should be in the hands of the people and I despise supporting an inefficient government. I am just not sure how this is going to work out come April 15 and will have to trust the experts.
