A Democratic New York City Councilman says hydroxychloroquine saved his life after a near-fatal run-in with COVID-19 in March.
Paul Vallone, who represents northeast Queens, took the drug along with a standard flu Z-pack, and came back from the brink almost immediately.
I couldnt breathe, very weak, couldnt get out of bed. My doctor prescribed it. My pharmacy had it. Took it that day and within two to three days I was able to breathe, Vallone told The Post. Within a week I was back on my feet.
Though Vallone went public with his coronavirus diagnosis in an April 1 Twitter post, saying he was experiencing mild symptoms, his actual condition was considerably more severe. Vallones initial prognosis was particularly grim, as he also suffers from sarcoidosis, an auto-immune disease that attacks his lungs.

Without that summit and millions of people who viewed the videos, the New York Post would not have published this story today.
I encourage everybody to find new commentaries about HCQ and post them on FreeRepublic. We need to keep HCQ in the news and the way to do it is by spreading the information far and wide.
Paul Vallone and his father Peter Vallone were targets of a research project a few years back. The results were surprising. Both of them were clearly honorable people who didn’t really belong in the Democrat party. Peter was special man of dignity and grace. They are probably the last decent Democrats left in America. It is not a surprise that Paul would admit HCQ helped him survive, and Democrat anti-Trump lies be damned.
I had met them as a kid back during the street hockey craze in NYC. Both were nice guys and I remember them. Their father would go on to do well and eventually become City Council President of NYC.
It doesn’t surprise me they grew up to be good guys. My grandparents were in the neighborhood and when an issue came up needing some assistance, they were there to meet and help sort through it.
This is a very good family and I’m glad Paul Vallone got the HCQ combination therapy. Peter his brother pointed out last spring that you should “follow the money’ for all the “controversy” over a inexpensive and effective drug like HCQ.
Standing up for Americans and that’s what it’s all about.
