Schumer: Trump’s Economic Executive Orders ‘Will Be Litigated in Court’
Breitbart ^ | 6 August 2020 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 08/07/2020 4:58:57 AM PDT by Magnatron

During a press conference on Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated that if President Trump issues the executive orders on the economy that he has vowed to issue if Congress can’t reach a deal on the next round of coronavirus relief, the orders “will leave most people out, will not cover the broad expanse of what’s needed, will be litigated in court, and be awkward and difficult to implement.”

Schumer said, “I would say, right now, the president only has two choices: The first is to negotiate with Democrats. He knows Republicans can’t pass a bill, and you probably can’t even a majority of Republican senators to vote for any bill, let alone the House. So, the — one choice, the best choice, is to continue negotiating with us and realize he has to meet a compromise in the middle. It can’t be all his way or 95 or 90 percent his way. The second choice is to try these executive orders, which will leave most people out, will not cover the broad expanse of what’s needed, will be litigated in court, and be awkward and difficult to implement. It’s not a good choice at all.”

This could be one of Donald Trump’s shrewdest political moves of all.

Issue an executive order restoring the federal unemployment add on to people’s checks, than watch the Democrats go to court to take it away.

Whether one agrees with the payment or not, this is a genius move in an election year...

If people don’t get the money, it’s not a genius move.
People know the Dems will give the money.

We need to open up the economy, not the federal largesse.

Gee Chucky, let me understand Donald needs to negotiate, but it’s ok for Nancy to draw a line in the sand?

Great idea, now how do you intend that to happen?
Last I checked, Governors are keeping things partially locked down.
If there’s no school, someone has to stay home with the children.
How’s the service sector of the economy doing?

So...Mr. Schumer opposes President’s Trump legitimate executive orders and wants them litigated in court but has no issues with his state’s governor’s (Nursing Home Killer - NHK Cuomo) executive orders for the Wuhanic Plague, especially the ones that lead to the deaths of innocent people in nursing homes?

Lost in all this is the final truth of legislation: It is better to make no law than a bad law.

THAT’S the solution for sure. In the meantime Trump can free up money for the people and show that he’s for the common man. Schumer and his cronies will look real bad if they try to fight it. But keep it clean Mr.President!

The last that I checked this is still a republic. Put political pressure on the governors and state legislators.

The people who get the money are those going to work not those collecting a check. That puts pressure on the dem govs to open up their states which is mostly closed in the service industries.

Mr President,

It’s not too late to ORDER AG Barr to Prosecute Schumer for making Criminal Terrorist Threats against a sitting Supreme Court Justice.

The democrats do not dare a lawsuit opposing an Executive Order restoring unemployment benefits.

Schumer is blowing smoke....... very very thin smoke.

That works for Trump.

Go ahead, Democrats. You go to court to stop him from extending unemployment benefits and halting evictions
See how that works out for you.

I read that and in my head I hear William Frawley in Miracle on 34th. Street.

“You go right ahead. You go out there and tell them that the State of New York says that there is no Santy Claus. But if you do you can count on getting exactly two votes. Your own, and that District Attorney’s out there.”

I’m thinking it would be a good idea to try and do this via EO, even if it’s a bluff. To do it right DT must try to do it, and when the Dems fight/block it, he must address the nation and tell them that he has tried to pass a measure that would insure folks keep receiving aid while partisan politics has stalled negotiations. He can quote Pelosi as saying that to give people interim aid would cause the democrats to lose leverage. Go on to say unfortunately democrats have sought to block this aid to individuals who are hurting...etc.

People know the Dems will give the money.
_______________

People will discover that the progs encumber the money so that only those who will support them will get it.

Everyone else will discover the progs intend to take it from them, keep much for themselves and dole out a pittance to a few, in response to prog demands.

Remember the screams when POTUS; name appeared on the last checks.

******“I would say, right now, the president only has two choices: The first is to negotiate with Democrats.******

[snip]

I think it was the day after Trump’s inauguration, who said this?

We will block every single thing Donald Trump tries to do.

Seems to me it was Nasty Nancy and Sue ‘em Schumer.

How does the President “negotiate” with fools who have shown again and again they intend to do nothing but run to the cameras and scream we hate Trump?

Wasn’t it Nasty Nancy who showed her true colors and ripped up his state of the union transcript?

How do you negotiate with people who refuse to do anything but insult you?

And Schumer acted like he was Trump’s friend for 20 years...what a crumb...

But I agree with some of the comments here, I want to see them tell the world they’re going to sue to take away your income...
