U.S. Attorney John Durham will soon interview former CIA Director John Brennan, another sign that the investigation of the Trump-Russia investigators is ready to wrap up by the end of the summer.
Durham, the federal prosecutor from Connecticut appointed by Attorney General William Barr to investigate the origins of the Crossfire Hurricane inquiry and to scrutinize the conduct of the law enforcement leaders and intelligence officials involved in it, has asked to interview Brennan, according to people familiar with the request cited by NBC News, and the former top spy and vociferous Trump critic has reportedly agreed to the sit-down. The same report cites sources who suggest Durhams inquiry may be nearing the finish line.
Brennan has acknowledged that he is in the "crosshairs" of the criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation led by Durham. He recently claimed, and the White House acknowledged, that he asked the CIA for his official records, including his personal notes and any classified CIA documents that he had signed to help him write his upcoming memoir, but the agency denied his request.
Last year, the New York Times reported that Durham asked for Brennans electronic communications, phone records, and other documents from the CIA, something NBC News confirmed on Wednesday.
Otherwise, I don't give a rat's ass!
Will it will be a Lindsey Graham type interview?
Will he ask about coordination with our intelligence partners in Europe and Australia that he was personally involved in?
Will he be asked about his private communications with Comey?
Will he be asked about his private communications with the Obama White House?
Will Brennan be put under oath? What is the point of this “interview” if he is not?
Still, to date, these criminals walk free....
Interview Brennan on a waterboard.
I volunteer to do the honors
Will the bastard be under oath, or just a friendly chat like they did with PIAPS?
Also, believe it or not, there’s early voting coming up in September in some states, or so I’ve been told. Some red pills better start dropping before them.
My whole country is coming apart at the seams, we’re at the precipice, and I have to listen to idiots who will be upset with “Q” and hold it against the president.
Wake the hell up and deal with reality.
Good God!
“Q” crazies strike again. No pun intended and no ransom required.
It’s not going to be a Lindsey Graham type interview. Durham’s team already has the answers to the questions they will be asking. That’s why they start with the people low on the food chain and work up. One or more of those people have been flipped.
Brennan is screwed. He can refuse, but then he will be subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury. Better to submit to an interview when you can have his attorney present.
It’s appropriate that Brennan will be interrogated near the end.
Durham knows the answers to all the questions, and Brennan knows that Durham knows.
Brennan’s counsel will have the lying/commie/muslim/sumbitch client take the 5th amendment.
Maybe it’s a job interview
brennan has admitted to being a communist!!
that did NOT disqualify him from leading our CIA!
the next guy to run the CIA??- I vote for Vladimir Putin-
Wait...no ... might as well have premier Xi-
UNbelievable— we are losing
Only now?
I’m pretty sure Brennan will just flip him the bird and say “F’ off, I’m a democrat, so I’m untouchable”.
Sad to say that’ll probably work too.
>Sigh<
Seriously? You’ve got to be kidding.
Exactly
Lying to federal investigators is a crime even if not under oath. Brennan may freely decline to be interviewed but he will be in trouble if he lies during an interview.
Its just an interview, not a deposition.
It’ll be like the “discussion” they had with Flynn. Hopefully Brennan leaves in cuffs or accidentally gets shot while trying to escape.
