A former producer for The Ellen DeGeneres show claims the host was well aware of the toxic work environment outlined in a series of recent investigations by BuzzFeed News, and was to some extent even responsible for it.
A veteran of various successful talk shows, Hedda Muskat was recruited by executive producer Andy Lassner back in 2003 when the show was still in development. Yet according to Muskat, DeGeneres was responsible for the toxic work environment involving racial discrimination and sexual misconduct that has now been alleged.
I had never seen this before, Muskat told The Wrap. I had never been around a toxic host. Muskat described one incident in which executive producer Ed Glavin screamed at a crew member in front of his colleagues.

It’s a two-fer, what with the both of them.
Actually a double two-fer
He thinks the wide-leg pants hide everything.
I hope they both end up in the hell that they wish on all of us. That would be poetic justice.
Interesting story.
In ‘96, I was in des Moines for the precinct caucuses. Just a political junkie wandering around taking pictures and meeting people.
I had the opportunity to meet Michael Moore at an Alan Keyes rally. I already knew who he was but he hadn’t reached the levels of fame he has now. He was there playing an actually funny prank on Keyes for his TV show.
I had about 10 minutes of mostly uninterrupted time with him outside the rally. He was actually cordial and decent.
A day or two later, I was at the Iowa State capitol wandering around. I looked in their library. That was where CBS was doing their evening news. There was a guy sitting alone at a table reading some papers. It was Dan Rather.
I walked over to him and started chatting with him. he was very pleasant. We talked for about 15 minutes about everything. H he didn’t act like I was bothering him or wasting his time. he asked why I was down here. I told him. I told him I was a Republican. he didn’t grimace or flinch. as we finished, I asked if I could get a picture with him. he stood up (he’s tall), waved at one of his staff and said “I need a picture with Steve over here”. He made me the object of the picture, not him.
I know he’s done and said some really asinine things since then but I always temper my thoughts about that with the knowledge of how he treated me, a regular guy, who just walked up to him.
One of the biggest rules of living in Los Angeles is that you never bug celebrities when you see them in public. And you see them all the time.
A lot of people just get them to sell on EBay or wherever, also.
I have a vinyl album that's autographed with a note "Don't sell this on the interwebs." I guess the original owner kept his word--I found it in the 50 cent bin at the used record store.
Dang! I just ate.
Sorry about that!!
Yeah, I think most celebs know that when someone comes up to them with a collectible type item to autograph, that it’ll likely end up for sale. Especially if they’re not asked to sign a specific “to” name.
A lot of celebs who’s biggest days are behind them, but who still like making a few bucks and get fawning tongue baths from fans, go to “Hollywood” signing shows - where they do the meet & sign routine for $$. Nice they can take in some cash and see that they’re still remembered and , in some cases, idolized.
Well, it’s sure not like they’ve never been warned, is it?
My supermarket tabloid headline: “Dyke Psych, Yikes!!”
Seems this is the only explanation:
Romans 1:22
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:24-28
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Did the “King” realize he was also the jester?
Her audience is Democrats...They don’t care...The same bunch that watches the View...And they love it...
Ive read several different articles on this ordeal and I cant for the life of me see whats going on here that Ellen suddenly deserves to be knee capped. Im not defending her and I do enjoy seeing the left caniibilize itself, but I think theres something more going on than just a few hurt feelings.
I collect old movie posters, so I've been to a few of those shows, and it's mostly embarrassing to see these people hawking their autographs. It's depressing. That said, I was at one about 20 years ago and there, sitting in the corner at a table, ignored, was John Agar. Had a lovely conversation with him and his wife, telling him that John Ford's She Wore a Yellow Ribbon was one of my all-time favorite movies. "Yeah, I got the girl in that one," he said. And amid all the photos of him in various movies, there was one photo from Citizen Kane, showing Orson Welles with all the showgirls. I looked at the photo and at Agar's wife and said, "Are you in this picture?" She beamed and pointed. "I'm that one!" They both passed away not a whole lot later.
Great story!
