Watch video below.....
I think that soldier is calling it in.
“Yeah - I got a vehicle double-parked on Arafat Avenue.”
Ammonium nitrate by itself is just fertilizer. It takes a fuel mixed in with it to explode. From the explosion it was explosives that blew up.
Unless they stored the old confiscated ammonium nitrate next to the thousands of gallons of illegal gasoline and then a forklift got out of control.
THat’s a lot of damage, Beirut looks like a U.S. city now.
“Odd red color to the smoke.” You are correct. I suspect this was not just normal commercial explosives. Something is wrong. I myself think this was a terrorist a depot for explosives. Mossad is wise and ruthless.
Hezbollah works for Iran. Since there have been a series of mysterious explosions in Iran lately not beyond reason that Hezbollah was green lighted and the IDF got them first.
On the other hand could have been some new Teslas cooking off.
Mossad is a real bitch if they do not like you. I hope this was Mossad. Oddly prior to the main explosion one could see fires but not explosive fires followed by a detonation explosion. I found this odd. If this was Mossad it would have been an immediate explosion of all. I think the bad guys just F up with their explosives of which I find most amusing with the exception of innocents killed.
I lived in the Middle East for years working in the oilfields. It is filled with good people that just want to be left alone. It is also filled with tyrants at the top. I most fortunately lived in Oman. Our Sultan Quaboos whom had total control of Oman brought Oman into the real world.
He is dead now due to cancer. Oman is not a democracy today but I suspect it will be in the future. Sultan Quaboos was a great Sultan that just loved his nation. He was educated in England at Sandhurst. That is like our West Point.
My source in Lebanon now no longer thinks Israel was involved in this.
If any know about Colonel Roberts in
Oman in the 70s I wish communication with you. He was actually a very nice man from Britain. He had total control of all security in Oman.
Most oddly I had friends from Britain that wanted to come to Oman and visit us. This was in 1977 It was most impossible until I went to Colonel Roberts office and explained such, and it was just then a signature on a piece of paper and it was all okay.
The Sultan was king of Oman and in control of all. Colonel Roberts took care of all security including the army and Air Force.. Most oddly the Army and Air Force were mostly ex
Brits officers. Even more oddly most of the pilots were RAF but seconded to the Oman Royal Air Force.
It was an odd war that few know about. The good guys won this one. It was a very brutal war in the South of Oman. I shall refrain from describing the actions of each side. It was most horrible. The best way to describe it is what does a soldier do to the enemy that tortured and killed his fellow soldier and brother? It was a small war of which the news did not cover. It was a brutal son of a bitch where blood and sorrow happened in the desert. The good guys won.
Apparently there’s documentation the Port warned the Beruit Council for years of the danger and it needed to be re-located away from the city or the destruction we now see would happen.....
I understand this stuff can self-ignite over time. But as you stated the investigation will show what happened. However, how their findings are reported could well be another story.
I post many photo views of things like this because I know there are Freepers who understand the dynamics of explosions, even understanding the plume colors and the field of destruction which can identify certain markers .....then we all learn.
Thank you for your comment.

Wow! He didn’t have a clue what was coming.
One question still remains. What set off the “fireworks” or whatever preceded this.
I heard one report....A ‘controlled’ fire got out of hand. But then this is the time many stories will travel until the investigation is done.
Early numbers from yesterday were 78 dead and 4k wounded.
So... Probably not.
“And boom goes the dynamite!”
The key word there is early. I’ll take it down to 1K deaths but it is going to be more than 100. Shock waves cause internal injuries that people may not initially know about plus I’m guessing there are unfound bodies laying around places right now.
Look, I don’t know exactly how many were in the zone where the blast occurred and a shock wave would have affected. If only, say, 250, then yeah, there won’t be the 2500 number I suggested initially but what I’m going on is this: when the West, Tx. fertilizer plant blew in 2013, there was a retirement/nursing home across the street with several people there INSIDE that were killed (at least 3). If you haven’t seen them, look for videos of people in the Beirut blast in their car and see what that shock wave did to their car like a quarter mile or so away. Those people are going to survive but had they not been in their car (or been closer), I’m betting they are either not going to survive (even if they are alive now) or are going to be much more seriously injured than they appear to be now. I’m telling you — that shock wave will screw up your internal organs in ways you can’t imagine. And that’s even if you don’t hit something or get hit with something.
Let’s revisit the numbers in 3 months and see where we’re at. Unless there were just not very many people in the area that looks like Godzilla stepped on it, the numbers are going to be far closer to 1K than 78. Hopefully not, but the reports I’ve read say a lot are still missing.
That is absolutely incredible.
Who would appear that every window in town is broken. Has anyone seen any comparison to a nuclear bomb size? All that is missing is the radiation. This was felt in Cyprus and elsewhere.
