Mail-in ballots are the latest talking point for Democrats and their media allies. They claim this will keep voters safe from the Wuhan virus, even though it is burning itself out quite nicely on its own.
The surges in cases we are seeing across the country means that more and more of the population have been exposed to the virus. The vast majority are not getting sick; in fact most don’t even know they are ill and they are getting tested due to potential exposure, for return to work, travel, or simply because the tests are widely available and free under most insurance plans.
Once the virus tears through a population, there are fewer left to infect, and it goes away. A summer surge in positive tests brings us closer to herd immunity and this will likely burn itself out by fall. Normal colds and seasonal flu may complicate things, but that’s another story.
The compassionate Democrats say it’s too dangerous to wait in line to vote. Yet it was fine for hundreds to wait in line for John Lewis’s funeral procession. Hypocrisy is on full display when it comes to the Chinese coronavirus.
The all-knowing, all-caring Dr. Anthony Fauci donned a large mask while standing all alone on the pitcher’s mound waiting to launch his ill-fated pitch closer to the dugout than home plate. Yet in the bleachers, he was yucking it up with some pals, forgetting all about masks and social distancing.
Aside from mail-in ballots being ripe for cheating, there are other more subtle forces at play here. CBS did their own vote-by-mail experiment and surprisingly, at least to CBS, discovered “potential problems” such as “3 percent of voters were effectively disenfranchised.” That could be enough to tip a close election.

Until Trump (ie WOTUS) I can’t remember when we chalked one up for our side. Reversing policy is simply I heard of in the Grand Ol Party. I hear, “ You should have seen it BEfore our amendments.”
Most of the mail-in ballots have prepaid postage, so they do not receive cancellation stamps from the post office and there is no telling when they were actually mailed. If a certain state is within 1/2%, a second push After election day to urge the right voters to mail in their ballots, or to gather them up and hand deliver, and to assist in filling them out.
Only to have a sizeable portion of it kicked back into the campaign, and other, coffers.
They WANT this election to be forced into the court system where they think they will win.
Hopefully Trump can fill RBG's seat soon.

I see two problems with mail in voting:
First is the potential for cheating. There are ways to wrap controls around a mail in voting process to minimize the opportunity, and to give assurance to mail in voters that their vote was counted correctly.
IF IF IF we have the will to impose those controls. Right now we seem to be hung up on fighting mail in voting and I see little attention being paid to controls if it happens.
Second is whether it changes the votes, by making voting more accessible. Does it mean more uninformed lazy voters vote? (My fear). Does it mean more home bound are voting? It has the potential to signicantly increase the percent of the people voting. And that could be good or bad.
I tend to fear it’s bad. My thought is that intelligent people who inform themslves on the issues will vote. And unintelligent MSM watchers will vote the way MSM is telling them to.
It definitely throws a wild card into the voting. But so does COVID. COVID can suppress voting. I don’t want to go stand in a long line of people even if we all have masks on. I would if it’s the only choice to be able to vote.
I early voted in the primary last week. Was able to vote in a room with 4 people all of whom had masks on. The voting machine printed my completed ballot on a 8x11 sheet of paper that was then fed into a reader and stored in a locked box below. I’ll probably do the same, vote early, in the general election.

I can’t stand Democrats and most Republicans. The latter being mostly a gang of cucks with very few exceptions.
I just thought of something. If Republicans vote in person and the dems vote by mail and a significant portion of the mail does not make it, on time or at all, then the dems are disenfranchising their own voters.

president trump should say that anyone that wishes to vote absentee, can and should. there is a system already in place to accommodate them.

You should pay closer attention to their funding bills and notice where all the money goes. Trust me, they reward and nurture their supporters.
And look at how they fought tooth and nail against the Kavanaugh nomination. They don’t hold back.
Yes, they are a corrupt lot that craves power but they wouldn’t be holding the House if they were not doing things for their voters. By contrast, the GOP does almost nothing for its voters.
