Mayor de Blasio blasted as ‘pathetic’ for not cleaning vandalized BLM mural

The city has yet to clean up splotches of paint thrown on the Black Lives Matter mural in front of Trump Tower a week after the vandal struck — with New Yorkers blaming “pathetic” Mayor Bill de Blasio who “wavers on the flavor of the month.”

Mark-David Hutt, 31, of Rochester, NY, was busted on two consecutive days last weekend — July 25 and 26 — for tossing paint on the city’s most controversial BLM display on Fifth Avenue near East 56th Street.

On the first day, he was busted just after 5 p.m., and the next morning, he was back at it — and cuffed at 10:10 a.m., cops said. He was issued desk appearance tickets on each day.

But the paint remains on the logo one week later.

“It’s been a full week and I asked the cops why the DOT hasn’t repaired the BLM paint job,” Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa told The Post. “They said City Hall doesn’t seem to care any longer about this BLM logo. The mayor seems to have ADD on this matter, like he does most matters in NYC.”

A police source told The Post that the mayor “wavers on the flavor of the month.”

“Whatever the flavor of the month is, that’s what he concerns himself with,” the source said. “That’s what makes him a horrible mayor. Black lives matter isn’t the flavor of the month anymore. Very short attention span, we know that already. It’s just a waste of taxpayer dollars in the first place. You got between five and 15 cops sitting out there on overtime watching that stupid shit and shootings are piling up. They’re there to protect the mural, and obviously they’re not doing a good job of that.”

Sliwa is calling De Blasio out on his ADD. Here is what de blasio said a week before this incident.

To whoever vandalized our mural on 5th Avenue: nice try. @NYC_DOT has already fixed it.

Property values 90 miles East out on the Island are shooting up. That’s a fact. That is trump country. Trump signs red county. The city people will see to changing that.

The Roman author Juvinal asked “Who will watch the watchmen?”. Is “Who will vandalize the vandalism?” its corollary?

Maybe the boys at the FBI can protect the sign by laying on it and kissing it. That would earn them many brownie points with their white liberal ‘elite’ handlers.

Someone needs to tell FBI goons the ‘black community’ is not impressed with white thugs from Antifa giving them a bad name...

People stupid enough to elect a democrat mayor deserve this

Agree it is time to move. But can’t blame all of the people. The Mayor got only 18% turnout. So 11% voted for Deblasio, and even less if you consider the people who aren’t registered: 8.5% of of the population at large.

An officer was injured in an attempt to stop a graffiti modifier. What is more important: stopping murder or stopping the vandalizing government graffiti? Obviously the people in government thinks graffiti is more important.

A man was arrested for splashing paint on the BLM paint on the street. That arrest is invalid, as long as deblabio isn’t arrested for defacing a city street, and covering traffic control markings.

If the man is guilty, then the mayor is more guilty.

No money to repair, replace, clean or remove. NYC has no credit with suppliers/vendors. Can barely make payroll.
Get out while the gettings good.

it looks like the street is usable by cars..

if so, why not get some old cars. get some paint.

have someone dump paint just outside thr mural

drive through the paint, and over the nural.
.

see if the police can argue that driving through spilled paint and then down a public street is a crime.

i wonder if you could drop paint ballooons from a drone.

or launch them from a distance with slingshots.

i wonder if any of the buildings have windows that open.

The “mural” is a disgrace. I’d paint over it, too. As a matter of fact, any New Yorker who crosses it should deface it however they can. Enough of this crap.

There is no BLM mural.

It’s graffiti.

A mural is pictorial.

This was just gutter trash tagging, sponsored by the city’s
moronic leadership.
